The location of the hotel is great, even if it was a bit noisy outside, the insonorisation is really good and we slept well. The room was quite big, beautiful and very comfortable. Our host did a great job, he was friendly and helpful. He booked a excellent restaurant for us.

The only negative things is about the shower that was not in a perfect state but it was usable anyways.

Loved our stay at Tyn Yard Residence. The rooms were spacious, and you can't beat the location. Pavel was very helpful in pointing out highlights of the town for our visit. The breakfast for the vouchers we received was very good

Beds and sheets could have been a little more comfortable. The shower drain was a slow, causing some standing water

The hotel is located in an absolutely ideal spot, right in the heart of the Old Town. The rooms are beautifully designed and, most importantly, very spacious, which makes the stay truly comfortable. The separate bathroom is excellent, and the room temperature can be raised up to 30°C — a major advantage, as this is quite rare in Europe.

Guests receive vouchers for a nearby café, just a one-minute walk away. However, the voucher value is 300 CZK, which, based on our experience, is not enough. A minimum of 600 CZK per person would be more appropriate. The café itself was not our favorite: while the staff were kind and the food was tasty, the smell of cooking inside was very strong and unpleasant.

Room was basic and bland (a vase of flowers would have done the trick like the photos showered !!) Other rooms on this site looked nice, warm and cosy and nicely decorated We were on the very top floor (57 stairs) TV was very small but we didn't go away to watch TV. It said breakfast was included in the price, however breakfast was served in a cafe just around the corner and you were given a voucher for each breakfast (if your order was over the voucher price you had to pay the extra) so you were limited to what you could have in a way

Loved the location. It was perfect - very central in old town located in a quiet square off of the main square so much quieter. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious.

Only thing that was tricky is that there is not a stationary reception so if you need anything in the off hours, no one is around to help. That said, the manager was very helpful when he was there.

I wish the staff were more present, it did not feel very personable. I like to get local recommendations from the hosts if possible.

Super good location by the old centre, very close to everything you would like to see, but quiet at the same time. The room is really spacious and comfortable , with a vintage touch. Pavel is really friendly and explained we needed to know.Highly recommended.

Disastrous Stay: No Water and No Refund!We planned to stay at this property for three nights, and after a peaceful first night, we woke up to find there was no water at all—no sink, no shower, no toilet. At first, we assumed it was a temporary issue and went out to explore the city. However, when we returned in the afternoon, the problem persisted.We contacted the host, who confirmed the issue and assured us that the water would be restored by the next morning. No alternative solutions were offered, and communication was poor and unhelpful.The next day, there was still no water, and we only found out through the cleaning staff (not the host, who remained completely unresponsive) that the issue would last at least another day. Their "solution"? Six bottles of SPARKLING water to wash ourselves!Frustrated and unable to use basic facilities, we contacted Booking and decided to move to another accommodation. The host had promised a refund, but in the end, we didn’t even get reimbursed for the night we didn’t stay.To make matters worse, at check-in, they required us to provide a credit card number and expiration date as a “guarantee,” claiming this was standard practice in the Czech Republic. However, we didn’t experience this at any other accommodation, and the request seemed highly suspicious.Terrible place, unacceptable management. Avoid at all costs!

This was a beautiful place to stay- a very historical building in the heart of the old town. The room was huge and well appointed with comfy armchairs and the best beds and pillows we have had in a long time! Despite several bars in the square, the walls and windows were so thick you couldn't hear them at all once in the room. Staff were so lovely.

Was difficult to carry bags up the stairs, however the staff helped to do this.

Location was excellent. Plenty of hot water and heating, air conditioning good.

The facilities offered when booking stated mini bar, slippers and bath robes, none of these were provided.

A bit tricky to findRooms were COLD, impossible to heat up (2 heaters didn't heat the rooms up overnight)Weird stains here-there, empty remote batteries, thing's to about fall off the wall in bathroom (and there are friendly reminders of high fines on the room). And as our room was on top of an bar...bizarre music that doesn't let you sleep

Fantastic helpful Paval made us reassured about everything, arranged a taxi from the airport and greeted us on our arrival with lots of helpful advice and information. The room was large with a bath and huge bed , a kettle and mini fridge. Location is perfect right near the Old Town square. Breakfast at Bond cafe offered wonderful plant based milk porridge and tofu toasties for us vegans ?. Would definitely recommend this place as an authentic residence if you prefer that rather than a modern hotel .

Smell coming from toilet. We kept bathroom window open for fresh air.
