Boutique Hotel Bijou de Prague

Loved the character! Didn't want to go to Prague and stay in a hotel that could be found everywhere. It definitely had a cool, unique, European vibe! friendly staff, lovely details like slippers and robe! In room coffee and tea. Just lovely.

It's on top of a hill and no elevator. Not something that bothered me, but if you aren't prepared to hike every day, then this isn't your place!

The tub. Hard to get in and out of and had only a handheld shower head, which made it difficult to use without making a mess. I don’t want to complain about that, maybe it’s the way it’s done there but I had difficulty with it. As other reviews have stated it’s up a very steep, cobblestone street and no stairs once inside. Wasn’t a problem for us but it’s good to know in advance.

The room was very nice and clean. The location was wonderful for accessing where we planned to visit at that evening. Breakfast was tasty with a variety of food. We had a quiet room.

There is no lift at the hotel and it is quite difficult to access the third floor with all our baggage.

Amazing location, beautiful breakfast spread, very helpful staff. We could leave our bags at the reception while we wondered the city waiting for check-in. The room was comfortable and absolutely gorgeous. The view out the window in the morning was breathtaking! Amazing value!!!

Not an issue for us - but as others have said there is no lift and it is up a hill with the closest public transit stop at the bottom of the hill. Again no bother to us - but the bathtub/shower did not have a mounted shower head and the moveable one was mounted low by the facets - seems to be pretty standard here. There was also no iron or full-length mirror which was our only true disappointment when getting ready to go out to a nice dinner.

Beautiful large room and excellent breakfast. Close walk to castle, restaurants and shops. Front desk was friendly and helpful in locating us a car service to the airport. We definitely would stay here again and highly recommend this location. We could open our 2nd floor windows to the historical street, but it was still quiet and we heard no noise at all when we were sleeping.

No lift to get up to top floor. Also steep hill to get there.

Staff was great. Pauline and all were excellent. Room was exactly as shown in the pictures. Large and clean. Very comfortable.

The room space was great after being in cramped places for a week. We really enjoyed the room.

The room felt unique and authentic. The room was huge and we had lots of space to spread out. In the evening it is a very quiet area and we always felt safe.

The location was excellent, walking distance to the Prague Castle and to mini marts and restaurants. Breakfast buffet with a lot of variety plus a very spacious room

The TV was not working (props) and you had to enter the tub to take a shower

Quiet location great large room

- Fantastic location, close to Prague Castle - Great character in the property- Very large living space, with bedroom mezzanine - Kitchen facilities, including a fridge was very handy- Friendly and accommodating staff - Great breakfast served at the sister residence across the road - lots of choice and replenished regularly

- The bed was large but not very long which meant my legs hung off the end of the bed (I am 6 ft 2) - The blinds/curtains were not blackout, so light came through quite early in the morning which woke us up (fine, as we then went out early too) - Great kitchen facilities including hob, but no cooking utensils, pots, pans, bowls, plates etc

Lovely place to stay. Beds were extremely comfortable and nice and quiet for a good night's sleep. Lots to choose from for breakfast and very tasty. Staff extremely helpful and very pleasant. Good location but on a hill so would need to bear that in mind if have mobility issues.

Location, interior, cleanliness, everything was great.

There was a lack of information in the room about where the breakfast was, but we quickly managed to resolve this issue.

Superb location below Prague Castle. I really liked the regal style of the room!

The double bed had 2 single duvets instead of one.

The accommodation was excellent everything was clean and tidy, the hotel location was the best because we walked to see all the attractions, breakfast excellent and the staff friendly and very nice.Room internet good

The only thing I didn't like was the Czech television ? because almost all the tv channels are dubbed in Czech language but the Retro music channel saves them and another minus- the tv was an old model which didn't connect to the internet.

Our stay was incredibly comfortable. The room exceeded our expectations. The location is very convenient, all the places of interest are within walking distance. And, at the same time, the street where the hotel is located is very quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend this hotel.
