Hotel Gounod Fully Renovated

Fantastic location, breakfast, room, and staff.

This hotel had a very curated and up to date feel. Every facet seemed intentional. Whatever you set your eyes on was pleasing. Even the smell when you walked in help set the tone. The staff were warm and helpful.We especially loved the location. Walk out the front doors and take a right and you will quickly wind up at the Sea. The neighborhoods are charming and the Rue de France is just blocks away.

It’s a small boutique hotel so the only downsides we found are what they don’t offer (Restaurant/Bar) but the do have a partner hotel next door with rooftop pool and spa that are included with stay.

Some wear and tear, very small, but beautifully designed. Large bathtub is beautiful. Staff extremely courteous and helpful

Everything was fine. I did not eat in the breakfast room so cannot comment, nor did I take advantage of the sister property which would have a gym and a pool for Gounod guests use

Room as renovated and all the furniture was new and clean. If you like quiteness this is the place. Also all of the reception staff were very nice, helpful and with a smile on face.

Very small reception area and no bar. Although sufficient lighting in the room but still it was dark.

I loved that the rooms were renovated and were very modern. The bathroom was very large which is the most important thing for me. we had a balcony which was great and floor to ceiling windows which I love. the room also had a sitting area.

the entrance into the room was a little tight but no major complaints. the hotel doesn't have any crazy facilities but I believe they are partnered with the hotel down the street for additional amenities

The hotel was in a good location and had stunning, modern decor, it was super clean and the staff were friendly. It was great having access to the swimming pool in the sister hotel too.

The room size was quite small for the price. It's very style focused.

Well located for access to rail and public transit, beautiful part of town, restaurants nearby. Hotel reception staff very helpful with the usual tourist questions, excellent breakfast and wait staff. Our room was spotless, quiet and comfortable.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We needed on site parking and did not know that we needed to book it in advance so there was not parking available when we arrived. They worked around it and were able to make sure we were able to have parking on their site.

Amazing location, easy walk to Blue Beach and Old Town. Superior Suite is very large with king size bed and additional sitting area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommended this hotel.

The staff was extremely welcoming throughout our stay, and the hotel was clean and the room was spacious. Also really enjoyed the balcony! The hotel is a very short walk to the beach as well.

The gym and rooftop pool/restaurants are actually at the hotel next door, so while we still had access, we thought it would be part of the actual hotel we were staying in and not the partner one next door.

Staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Everything was very clean.

We ended up in a suite on the 4th floor which was wonderful. Initially we had booked a king but it did not have a shower so we paid $80 euro/night to upgrade. The suite was really nice. Quiet, nice linens and nice ambience.

Just be sure you book a room with a shower if that is important to you. We were surprised that a hotel of this caliber didn’t offer showers in all the rooms - especially since we did not initially book the least expensive room.

I loved how spacious the room was and the proximity to the train station. Breakfast was great, just feel as though we weren’t informed of the cost.

The mattresses and pillows were not comfortable for this standard of accommodation.

Nice calm location close to the touristic centre. Good design, clean room and friendly stuff

The only thing I didn’t like is synthetic pillows, they are not very comfortable

The room was really big and the bathroom was gorgeous! We also loved the location of the hotel. It's a solid walk from Old Town, but we liked that it was in a residential area. Getting to the metro and train were easy for us. The beach was a short walk away too!

The room is spacious, clean, nice view from the windows and lots of storage space. The bathroom is also spacious and very beautifully designed. The warm has a serene warm atmosphere. Staff were also helpful and attentive

The staff was really amazing - Frida at the reception desk was so pleasant and helpful, and the attendants at breakfast were so nice. The breakfast was just delicious! The location was very close to everything and it was a real treat having access to the amenities at the hotel next door - the pool, gym and rooftop bar.

It was a perfect stay for us! We'll definately stay here again whenever we're in Nice!

One of the reasons I booked this hotel is that the website said there is access to a pool in a partner hotel next door. Unfortunately, the hotel next door was dirty, run-down and noisy and the pool was nothing more than an enlarged bathtub. If swimming is important to you do NOT stay at this hotel!
