Best Western Plus Hotel Massena Nice

I¿ve never wrote a bad review but wanted to warn other guests. I wasn¿t expecting a fancy hotel just a clean one. I found hairs on my sheets and towels didn¿t look clean. You can always smell sewage in the room. The sheets have a strong bleach like smelll

Location is very close to main areas. Just a few minutes walking distance to massena square, old town and the seaside. The breakfast was quite varied. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned every day.

WARNING! I've had a significant administrative problem with this hotel. The first night payment was taken from my debit card, as a preauthorization. The day before my travel I've got a spam WhatsApp message from Uniq Platforms (in Uttar Pradesh) saying that the payment did not go through and I have to pay again. When I said no, the payment increased by 10x (one more zero was added) and I thought the hotel would not send me a WhatsApp message for payment and that this was a spam. I had to call my bank to block my debit card and, obviously came to the hotel with no card. This was a beginning of my 10-day vacation and I kindly asked them to take the preauthorization ammount for the one night stay, but they declined, I had to pay my stay in cash (they wanted to convince me that my account was blocked AND my card, which obviously was not true). Interestingly, when I presented them the Uniq Platform message they were not surprised and that this has happened to others as well. The Uniq Platform, in their message to me had an exact number of my secure ID for booking this place via Booking.com, with my name and phone. I think that once they found out about this, they should have blocked their Booking.com account that was hacked, unless some of the staff was involved?! Their pretty dumb manager offered no explanation for this situation. Fortunately, I stayed only one night. The acommodation was OK I will certainly return when this dumb manager is gone and when they clean their administrative problems. I am writing this to warn others, as I said they were not surprised when I showed them the message. On top of this, they sent me a similar WhatsApp (you won't believe it!) message on the day of my arrival for check-in. Guys this was far tooo much.

The hotel is very well-located, right next to Massena station and next to the rue which is loaded with restaurants. It is also near the main street (Av. Jean Médecin) and pretty close to the promenade (walking distance). Extremely convenient location for everything you need to see and do in Nice. Staff very friendly. Room was clean. We enjoyed our stay!

The room (Standard Double Room) was relatively small for the price (I found better hotels for less nearby - so I wouldn't consider it 'good value for money'). It seemed quite old (wooden doors, etc. - but clean and maintained). The bathroom and shower were in 2 separate rooms (not a huge problem, but letting you know in case it bothers you). Nothing problematic overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Nicely renovated hotel. Quite spacious rooms for European standards especially corner units with balconies

Great hotel. Great great location. Comfortable beds but pillows are too hard. Breakfast was very good.

Front desk real support at night when we arrived late 4 hours due to airlines delay. Arranged to help find food when it was too late and everything was closed since we didn't eat for 18 hours. Thanks a lot for his support he found a delivery restaurant for us and helped on the language barrier. ?

Excellent service, location, room, cleanliness, breakfast selection. Ruhr Plage a bit far, not major. Discount of other hotels is better for day stay.

Wash closet too small, way too small and sink should be next to it, logistics of this does not work,

Great location about 10 minutes walk to the old town and 2 minutes to Rue Massena, plus only a few yards to the nearest tram stop. The tram ride to/from Gare de Nice-Ville is about 5 mins.

The twin superior room we booked was very small, with almost no gap between the two beds, as a result we asked to be moved to a different room which was more spacious.

This is our second stay at this hotel. I have found the rooms are all different. Our rooms last year were on an upper floor and seemed to be more updated. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a great way to start the day.

The recommended beach was sold out when we arrived at 9:15 am.
