Pros +
- Beautiful boutique hotel ideally located in a quiet location and with amazing views. The real charm of genuine local houses from the 19th century. Quiet, cosy and clean.
- Lovely room with a beautiful view over the city to the sea.
- We were so lucky to book this hotel. It’s exceptional in every regard.
Cons -
- The price for having a beautiful view is a long walk down to the city to eat dinner, etc. It was definitely a price worth paying, especially as we could use Uber for the trip up the hill back to the hotel.
- The hotel is so inviting and perfectly situated - an oasis of calm in the most elegant and quiet residential neighborhood in Nice. An easy stroll to explore all the museums. The staff is so wonderfully “old school”, especially the charming host Philippe. Merci besucoup!
- While staying at Hôtel Petit Palais, the room phone rang loudly several times at 2 AM waking me up. When I answered it, no one was on the line. As a solo traveler staying in a solo room, this was unsettling, and I was unable to fall back asleep for nearly four hours. I emailed reception to check everything was okay and received no response. When I told the front desk the next morning they apologized and said it happened in another room as well and that they’d call the phone company. However, I effectively lost a night’s rest before my last day in France and there was no gesture of accountability offered. I don’t believe the burden of a disrupted night should fall on the guest, especially when paying to stay at a 4 star hotel. For this reason I can’t recommend the hotel. To be clear, I was not looking for repeat apologies that serve only to let other guests know that the specific issue I experienced was resolved. I was looking for accountability. Again, when a customers pays for a stay and that stay is disrupted, they should be compensated for that disruption. You may have resolved this particular issue, but you did not take accountability for it. What guests will see is that they cannot expect your hotel make things right when they go wrong, and that's the issue here.

Small but clean and well kept. Rooms with a view looked particularly lovely though I did not have one.

We loved the quiet and clean neighborhood, the room quality and privacy, and the relatively short walk to restaurants and shops.
The evening host could show more interest in guests and in servicing guests seated in the garden area. The downstairs bar could use improvement and better seating.
Boutique style , great atmosphere and nice spread for breakfast.Quite ,comfortable.
A bit challenging if you’re walking as it’s a steep climb from the promenade to the hotel. The shower glass partition too narrow thus not preventing the water from spraying all over the outside floor.
Beautiful, quiet and restful historic property with exceptional service. The team was kind and attentive. Special mention to Kevin, Hugo, Daniel, Solkina and Anne for above-and-beyond hospitality. Delicious, fresh breakfast. Refreshing plunge pool. Live jazz on Fridays on the terrace was a special treat. Merci beaucoup!
Amazing welcoming staff
Small rooms, but we had the most budget one so probably the more expensive would be comfortable
Everything about this property was exceptional!. The place felt like home, and it was small enough that you got to personally and professionally know the staff and they knew you as well. The owner even made an appearance on a night that they had supplied a jazz band for music on the back lawn. That was absolutely exceptional! The hotel was clean every inch of it, it felt so much like home, there were electric bikes for use, they had several areas where you could just sit and relax outside, and the rooms were plenty big and very comfortable!
There is nothing that we didn’t like about this property
Quaint, clean, nice staff.
Room was very small. The shower system did not work. Had to turn water off during shower so the bathroom wouldn’t flood.
Lovely hotel and we enjoyed our stay! Location is great if you want to be tucked away from the city and okay walking up hills. The pool is also smaller than the photos, more for plunge. Rooms are on the smaller end and some are on the main level of check in desk which added noise. We had an interesting check in experience and was asked to give our room key back to the hotel to hold when we left each afternoon. Have never experienced this before staying at a hotel.
Charming little hotel friendly staff clean great view good location cute rooms
Breakfast could have more options
A very comfortable boutique hotel on the hill away from the hustle and bustle by the beach. Philippe was especially helpful and fun to talk to. He was always ready with a smile and a warm greeting.
Patrons need to be aware that the “pool” is strictly a plunge pool. Very tiny. While the rooms are very sweet and comfortable, they are also very tiny. As long as you know this going in, you’ll be golden.
The intimate feel of the property, the location up in the hills felt tucked away and private, just a short 20 minute walk to town. The staff were fantastic and very helpful.
The bed and the pillows were very hard unfortunately….but the room and the bathroom were perfect.
Our room was small but well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and the weather allowed us to sit outside in the beautiful garden.
We were on the second floor and the room above us was rather “thumpy”.
Clean, well decorated and great breakfast. the staff were always helpful and polite.
the location is in a quiet upscale neighborhood - but its so quiet that there are no cafes or shops without walking a bit. It was about a 25 minute walk to all of the tourist things we wanted to do. I’d happily stay there again, but that could be a drawback for some.
Stunning property. Walkable to everywhere! The breakfast was nice enough. The decor is beautiful.
No lunch or dinner options.
A beautiful quiet hotel 15 -20 minutes walk from Nice Old Town and Seafront. Hotel is located in a smart, characterful part of Nice
Very friendly staff and a good breakfast. The 15 min walk to "Old Nizza" is fine downhill, uphill was ok but might be too much for some.
The parking lot of the hotel is small. With modern large cars it might feel cramped. Still, book it, as the streets in the neighbourhood are fully occupied by the residents.
The interior was amazingly planned, every detail in place! Beautiful!❤️??Staff was extremely kind, breakfast is delicious. And every corner of the place was super clean, we had a lovely view to the sea!
