An oasis of calm in a very busy city. Lovely garden room for breakfast. The father & son team running the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. Room comfortable. Short walk to tram line which was easy to use.

The villa is very convenient for the trams and the rooms are clean and functional. The owner, Son, is very obliging and looked after us with travel guidance and assisted with requests for drinks and breakfast. We borrowed beach towels and an umbrella, which were very much appreciated. A great base for travelling around the city and further using the very good French train services. Highly recommended if you need a clean, central location and friendly helpful staff/ owners.

Perfect balance between charm, location and cost. This is the place to be when you don't have a filmstar budget but you want a great hotel. Great location, close to train and tram, easy walk to town. Breakfasts are in the beautiful and peaceful garden and yet you are in the city. And best of all, the hosts are fantastic and very helpful

Room clean . Staff friendly and very helpful .

Room gloomy and not very welcoming , very compact and en-suite with slippery floor in shower so when you were exiting you had to step down with one foot on wet slippery shower flour. Felt dangerous for me. No sky tv - all foreign channels . Carpet on floor instead of cool tiles . Was very humid so expected cool tiles to step onto . Basic shower gel - no hair conditioner .

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Garden was very nice.

The cabin we had, while clean and comfortable, felt very dated. The interior design felt old; for approximately 440 euros/night I had expected a much nicer/more luxurious room. There also was only one small window from which the view was straight onto the gate and not interesting or nice. The inside breakfast room interior/design also felt old and dated. Lastly, the location is not ideal. While there is decent access to public transport; line 1 is a 10-minute walk away, it is still located quite far from the city center.

I loved the quaint charm that Villa Rose instilled in you the moment you entered the gate. I felt like I was transported to a time that matched the belle epoque villa. I can only compare it to some places i've visited in New Orleans, biutbaway from the wild Beale street energy. I can't explain it, but i felt something peaceful and familiar from a bygone era. I can't wait to return to Villa Rose!

Great location, and a charming house. Impeccable welcome and care from the staff who were always cheerful, friendly and helpful. The garden is absolutely beautiful, and the scent from the orange blossom was heavenly.

I was in Room 4, which is located just at the bottom of the stairs, making it very noisy. There are signs asking guests to be quiet, which they mainly were, but there is nothing you can do about the footsteps, or the sound of the heavy, clunky keys turning in the heavy, clunky locks.

I didn’t like this property. It was too small. Too expensive.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Villa Rose. It is outside the busy rush of central Nice, but still so easy to get into the centre on the tram, which is a 5-minute walk away. We were surprised with a free upgrade to our room, and our every whim was catered to. Breakfast - local Viennoisserie and breads, was delicious, and the bed was very comfy, as were the towels. Son was an amazing and hard-working host, and gave us the best recommendations of where to visit and where to eat. If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable and cosy place to stay, which isn’t in the middle of the tourist melee, we would highly recommend Hotel Villa Rose!
