Hôtel Le Royal Promenade des Anglais

Location

My husband placed his meds in the fridge in the room. We did not get it before we left. (I forgot it) We called as soon as we realized it and they said it wasn?t there. We know it was because that is the only place we put it. We called several times.

Amazing location right on the Coast only a few blocks from old town. Great breakfast and very friendly staff. We splurged for a balcony room overlooking the Sea and it was beautiful with a gorgeous view!

Bathroom had mold in shower, shower head would not properly function, shower base felt as if it might fall through, ants in bathroom and hall.

OMG! If you had read the comments I made to the hotel you would know that this was a 50th anniversary visit to Nice and also my husband's birthday. Because management took my requests to heart (that's a joke!) what we got was a tiny room on the first floor THAT DID NOT EVEN HAVE A CLOSET OR A DRESSER and THE WINDOW LOOKED OUT OVER A TIN UTILITY SHED! Despite being on the Riviera the breakfasts were lackluster and lacking in variety. Very simple breads, very little fresh fruit, pre-cooked eggs, etc. On our first morning we overheard two couples saying what we were thinking: that the rooms did not look like what we had seen on the Internet. I asked to speak to the manager for three days in a row and left my cell phone number but he never had the courtesy to call and discuss the matter. He told another couple that if they were unhappy with their room they could just move to another hotel!

Everything was perfect. Excellent location, sparkling clean, big comfortable room.

The bed was too hard for me

Location, Location, Location!! We didn’t eat at the Hotel and their Bar was closed for the off-season. The front desk staff and housekeeping staff were very nice, very professional and very helpful

The carpet was filthy. The bathroom floors had ground-in dirt. Mold was in the corners near the tub. We were told that the Hotel is in the process of replacing the carpet. The outside needs to be painted.

The location is ideal. Comfortable bright room. Clean. Personable and helpful staff.

Le Royal is perfectly located on the Promenade de Anglais! We were within walking distance of so much of old Nice. Our room was comfortable and offered a fabulous view of the sea and promenade. The well-trained and friendly staff at Le Royal was superb, especially Jessica at reception and Mathilde in the bar. The general manager is very dedicated to running a great hotel. We enjoyed excellent food in the bar area. The breakfast buffet offered lots of food choices. If we are fortunate enough to return to Nice, we would not hesitate to stay at Le Royal again!

Nothing! We enjoyed three wonderful days at Le Royal in October 2025.

Outdated. Ugly hallways. Expensive to have a view. Staff unfriendly.

We loved the view from our room. And we were very comfortable with our room. Facilities were comfortable.

The carpets were visibly dirty throughout the hotel. Hallway leading to our room was visibly stained. Our carpet in room was stained, but a little less than hallway.

The first room that we got was not what we paid for because of the view.It was horrible. We asked to be moved and they said did not have availability for the first night. For the second night we got the room with the view we paid for.

The property could use some tlc. Nothing that would stop me from coming there, I think it has great value because of its location and its staff, but little things could be addressed maintenance-wise.

The location was excellent, the staff was gracious and very accommodating.

The shower head and pressure could have been better. We only received one of the large bath towels.

Bed and bathroom. The bed was dreadful mattress uncomfortable and sheets slipped on the mattress covering. Bathroom had mould near shower taps and in grout, and I especially object to be given paper cups when paying these prices. No clothes brush or shoe burn provided and coffee was dreadful.

Great location, right on the promenade! Easy walking to Old Town, harbor area, etc. Staff was wonderful; breakfast was great. room was very nice. Will stay there again.

Nothing was exciting about the place total waste of money

No concierge in the facility to help customers with their luggage, I had to carry 3 boxes my self all the way to 5ft floor and the hotel could not provide bottle water in the room for customers. Services was so terrible.
