Pros +
- The location was perfect for walking to all destinations.
- Location to central Ghent is spot on! The size and comfort of the room was superb. Is a really classy place to stay.
- Some of the staff were very helpful. Location close to dining and attractions. Our final room was oleasant ( see below)
Cons -
- We were given one key card and the electricity was dependent on the card being in the room. The room would get uncomfortably warm if we left. Also, the tv would not connect. We did come to watch tv, but at night before bed, it would have been nice.
- On checkin we were offered an unacceptable room (in room stairs!) and given a 2nd room which had problems - safe did not work, could not get hot water from shower, reading light did not work. The room looked out onto a dreary array of other rooms. Very helpful person arranged for an alternate room with street view, for the following 2 nights as none were available then. Although smaller, that room was very pleasant.
- Loft room didn't have a shower, only a bath. Stairs could be difficult to walk up for people with mobility issues.

Hotel was nice and clean. Located very close to local attractions and the canal. Lots of food near by as well. Loft room was beautiful with great views overlooking the city.

Location to the main sites of Ghent. Yes I’d stay here again. We found the DOK Brewery! Wow they had some great beers. Also eat a bucket of Mussels at ‘tklok huys brasserie’. Also there was car parking nearby.
At 6:30AM in the morning construction workers started with a loud chipping hammer on the wall next to us. Need I say more? why on a Saturday morning???
So so close to the city center but still quiet. 2 minute walk from public parking garage. Right across the street from grocery store. Staff were amazing and welcoming.
The AC unit hadn’t been cleaned out in quite some time so it smelled a bit bad at first turn on. Overall, everything else was very clean.
Very nice and clean hotel, great breakfast, professional staff. Well worth it, close walk to the center.
This comfortable hotel in the center of Ghent has large, spotless rooms and fine beds and a good breakfast. The staff is pleasant and helpful. My room was larger than expected and very nice. The hotel is a shorty walk from the Ghent inner harbor and the Ghent castle.
This is not a problem with the hotel, but I warn travelers arriving by train that the train station is not well-equipped toallow you and your luggage to reach different floors and you will have to drag luggage up and down stairs.Somebody is not competent at the BNCF.
The room was large and we were left some chocolates as it was my partner's birthday which was a lovely touch. The room was refreshed and clean and we slept very well.
I thought there may have been more toiletries available such as lotion in the bathroom, for the price that it cost. It was quite an expensive stay therefore I expected a few more luxurious touches.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a good sized bathroom. The hotel was value for money, given it was holiday time.
No negative issues at all.
Clean and spacious.
Overheated even with air conditioning off. Breakfast lacks ‘proper’ coffee!
Located just a short walk away from the main downtown area.
AC hadn’t been kicked on yet for the year so it was quite warm while trying to sleep on our first night.
Location
Price and value, cleanliness of the glass in the bathroom, safe in the room was closed. Staff was ok, but not very welcoming.
Great location close to the historic city centre. Friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant room. Good choice at breakfast.
location is excellent for seeing sites of gent
Breakfast at Euro 25 feel was too expensive and so went tolocal cafe and also supermkt opposite hotel . overall though belgium is more expencive than uk.
We had the suite, it was not very clean and everything is made of wood also the floors , cracking floors and bed. I was stucked in the bathroom couldn’t open the door anymore with help of my wife I could open the door again. The first impression was a nice suite but after 1 night and looked closer to details it was not satisfying us. Online I could book breakfast for €19,- at the hotel they asked €25,- , doesn’t matter this 6 euro but why ? I would never book this hotel again.
The breakfast was very good, with a lot of variety and options available. The hotel location is very good and only a short walk from the river and city centre sights. Our room was also quiet and the bed was comfortable.
The coffee machine at breakfast was not very good and produced very small cups of coffee. I ended up having mostly tea and just using the hot water option on the machine. Our room was a Deluxe Double Room, and there was some seating provided (i.e. two small low padded stools with a cushion as the back support and one ordinary chair). From photographs of deluxe hotel rooms in the hotel, we had been expecting two proper armchairs, which could have fitted into the room. As pensioner's we did not find this seating comfortable and mostly sat on our bed! The room was advertised as having satellite channels, however quite a few channels did not work including BBC1 & BBC2.Lastly, we noticed a mouse trap behind both sides of the wardrobe in our room, luckily we saw no evidence of actual rodents, however there was a hole in the wall/floor in that area which hadn't been blocked up.
Location
Noisy room, very expensive breakfast.Wide variation in prices.Have booked via third party of Booking for Saturday to Sunday ; Euro 135.00 including breakfast ( 50.00)Friday to Saturday 144.00 excl. breakfast.
Very good location, close to the Korenlei and heart of the old town. Staff were extremely helpful, giving us an English town guide and suggested excellent places to eat. A good buffet breakfast, with lovely breads.
Our room had uncomfortable chairs and very little decoration. For a four star hotel at c. £180 a night I expected something a little better. Noise disturbance during the night from the street outside (and early deliveries to the supermarket) was an issue.
Location, helpful staff, comfortable beds, good breakfast.
We had 2 rooms; the standard one at the front of the property was good but looked on to the street and was very noisy in the morning. The larger room at the back was quiet but very dark - it opened onto a terrace which meant that curtains had to be kept closed for privacy. Also although it was a premium room it didn't have any comfortable chairs to sit on.
