that there is no elevator and its an exhausting climb up several sets of stairs with incredible heat and no A/C. At the top my daughter and I had to immediately sit and ask for water as we thought we would have a heart attack, no help carrying our bags.

Location was perfect . Great restaurants around the area. Fast taxi service. Hop on hop off very close

As seniors the2 flights of stairs are a little tough but that goes with the charm of Europe.

Room is cozy and beautiful with very reasonable price. Location is nice, there are few restaurants around the hotel. I def wanna come back here !

A beautiful, old building with lots of history and character. Comfortable and convenient but not in the middle of the crowds. Reasonable price, too. Breakfast was good

The entrance at street level could be more pleasant and inviting. It appeared as a low budget apartment complex. It could be improved with new paint, flowers and welcoming lighting. The stairway leading to Hotel Annalena could be washed and painted with welcoming colors or murals. It was drab and abandoned.

I was disappointed with breakfast.

This place has great essentials for example bed was big enough for two, toilet worked well, shower was great, and it has great AC. Room gets cleaned with new towels every day. Florence requires a lot of walking and Annalena’s location is about 15 mins from everything.

Location was excellent! 10 min walk to ponte vecchio. Staff was super friendly and offered to hold our luggage for us on the final day so we could explore some last minute sights in florence. Definitely would book again! Anna was super nice and helpful and gave great recommendations as well as answered all of the questions we had.

The shower door only covers half of the shower so water escapes very easily and gets on the bathroom floor.

Property was clean and in a great location! Loved the balcony.

The receptionist was exceptionally pleasant and eagerly offered to carry our luggage up 20 steps. The historical charm , the location; across the street from the Boboli gardens , Medici Palace, Wash/laundry facility, and eateries was perfect. The room was spacious and had a mini frig. The Breakfast buffet consisted of fresh fruit and pastries with hard boiled eggs and assorted meats , juice and coffee for an additional charge was well worth it.

The only oddity about our room was the bathroom shower was not enclosed.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. We felt so welcomed. The room was also big with a nice balcony. Walking distance from everything, we loved it!

Multiple mosquitoes flying around the room all night. Stain on the bed sheets. The building is large and a bit creepy, and no staff on the premises overnight so I wouldn't recommend if you're a solo female. The staff said they would arrange a taxi for me an early morning flight and it never came.

The hotel was uniquely Florence! It was clean and tidy but also offered such a unique look into Florence’s history. We stayed in the room that had a balcony overlooking the gardens and is famous for poetry!

The staff is very professional, respectful and is giving you a very warm welcome with good information about all the beauty Florence has to offer. The home is where the heart is - the Annalena hotel gives you this homey feeling and at the same time you are in the midst from all the excitement, best food, gorgeous gardens and the spectacular museums Florence has to offer. I will strongly recommend this hotel. The hotel itself has as well a very interesting history with many famous Italian residents. The architecture of the hotel with the amazing high ceilings gives you the feeling of living in a master piece painting itself.

I chose Hotel Annalena for its historical charm and its proximity to the Medici Palace and Boboli gardens. The room was very spacious, the bed comfortable, the bathroom facilities worked well. Very quiet location and yet close to eateries and wash/ laundry facilities. The receptionist was extremely pleasant and helpful. The breakfast Buffett had a variety of options .Loved the quaintness of Hotel Annalena.

The shower did not have a permanent enclosure. It was a moveable, 4 foot high trifold. The hotel is up a great number of steps which was challenging for large or heavy travel bags.

It was such a quaint and cute hotel! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the whole hotel just had a great vibe. Wanted to stay another night but the whole place was booked!

The hotel was wonderful, in a perfect location, and very clean with everything you need for a stay. Anna, the woman at the front desk, was excellent in guiding us with some fun things to do and places to go while in Florence. The breakfast spread was perfect and the hotel was in a quiet area yet a short walk to a number of restaurants, markets, and sights. I would HIGHLY recommend booking here!!
