Hotel La Scaletta al Ponte Vecchio

The staff is outstanding. Every concern or question was handled promptly and with enthusiasm. They could sponsor a master class in customer service.

Not really a dislike, but a comment. People with mobility problems should choose another hotel. There's at least 8 stairs to get to any room.

Perfect location. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Staff was helpful and breakfast very good. Would recommend this hotel. 3 stars is exactly right.

Tiny two-person elevator is difficult to exit with luggage. Street-level entrance needs improvement. Gives a negative first impression.

good sized room. Had a kettle to enable us to make hot drinks. The bathroom was a decent size.A nice quiet room. Fairly central for the Duomo etc.

The lift was rather compact, so a little claustrophobic. The toilet base leaked.

Best location for washing to. Major sites but situated in very interesting ‘left bank’ Oltarno sector with numerous attractive eating places

I would like a brighter light over the couch for reading

Location was great you can walk everywhere in 5/ 10 min. Rooms are big. Beds are big as well.

Walls are so thin you could hear everything going on on the hallways which was horrible one of the nights we were there as unfortunately we had a very rude and loud guest shouting until 3 am one night

The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious and the bathroom was excellent. The property was attractive and well-situated and the staff were efficient.

The building’s lift was small and creaky - it was usually quicker for me on the second floor to take the stairs.

Amazing location right next to Ponte Vecchio, Plazzo, supermarket and various business. Walking distance to anything in central Florence. Great attentive staff, very comfortable and spacious room, great facilities and a lovely roof terrace. Enjoyed the stay and would love to come back

Decor a bit dated in both the rooms and communal areas apart from reception.Confusing corridors - scaffolding up in one area.

The hotel is located just on the other side of Ponte Vecchio - close to the city centre, with plenty of good restaurants and small shops around, but a little quieter than on the other side of the Arno.For those interesting in the history of Florence, the rooms located under the Vasari Corridor and looking into the courtyard are truly special. Quiet rooms, but with a feeling for the heir of history.

Didn’t feel safe

The night time reception was extremely rude and intrusive. The location is good and the building is beautiful. However due to the staff I won’t be coming back, very unlike Firenze.

Everything from staff to the service, to the location was great.

In our garden room, we noticed a persistent musty smell, possibly related to humidity. The bathroom walls also appeared to have some mold.

The staff where professional and exceedingly helpful,The room was clean and fairly well appointed.The views were lovely from the terrace and location of hotel was excellent

The bathroom was dark and smelt damp.There was no dressing table to do makeup It is not comfortable drying my hair over a sink.

This was a great location right across the river from the Duomo - lots to do, restaurants within a stone’s throw but away from hustle and bustle.

There are no complaints large or small.

Our bed duvet had a large yellow stain which I had to ask the receptionist to change it This is not a 4 star hotel standard

Pleasant

The room was cold and extremely humid. For the specific room the hotel should have and air condiotioning installed, in order to balance the extreme humidity. The big glass door which faces the garden was completely covered with water vapour every morning.
