Il Tornabuoni Unbound

The rooms are lovely and feel luxurious, and we loved the view of the Duomo. It looks and feels like a luxury hotel.

For the price and character, it felt quite cheap to only provide one complimentary bottle of water per day (the rest had to be charged for). Air conditioning was not very strong, and t some of the fixtures in the bathroom were broken.

The location is outstanding, a short walk to Piazza della Republica and right in the thick of great street life and shopping.

It is a quirky old building, so staying above the 4th floor can require guests to walk a bit. I didn't mind, but it's something to be aware of. Our room was quite a distance from the elevators and required going up some flights of stairs.

Beds were a bit hard but the historic charm of the room, the amazing staff and fab location made up for it.

Very quaint property. Loved the rooftop terrace. You feel like you’ve step back in time. Room and bathroom clean. Best hotel shower EVER! Wish I could take it home. Staff was wonderful. Breakfast lovely and they held our bags while we visited museums.

Best possible location in the old city... was upgraded to a junior sweet...this 4 Star hotel was better than many 5 star hotels we have stayed in!

Stunning hotel and a five star experience. Well located with very friendly staff. They went above and beyond for us with our baby.

Florence was our destination to a week of celebration and I selected IL Tornabuoni hotel because of its unique room styles and great view, it is not mentioned in the room description, but my room had an incredible view of Florence and we could and we certainly did enjoy the sunset from our bedroom windows in the 4th floor. I reserved their rooftop bar to throw a cocktail party for my husband's birthday which was outstanding, from the time we booked the room to the day of the event, we were in contact with Daria, the reservation agent of the hotel which she did disappoint with all her knowledge and attention in every detail for a perfect afternoon, being open to discuss about the event. Her and her team did an amazing job organizing, serving, taking care of us all and specially enjoying the night with us, Miro with his abilities as DJ, Samuel and Anita with their kind touch serving our 25 guests and Scilla with her delicious cocktails (keeping everyone happy). Room service was great and on point. The staff at the front desk, especially Nicolo, very helpful and ready for any question that we might have had.

Not that we didn't like, but we were a little disappointed, it was the food at the hotel. We were expecting a little more of it since it is a 4 star hotel.

Impeccably clean rooms and outstanding service. The room was a bit small, and the water supply in the bathroom wasn’t very strong, but everything was still comfortable overall. Every staff member is friendly and courteous. Andrea went above and beyond by giving us excellent tips for visiting the flea market. Housekeeping is thorough, and the concierge is exceptionally kind. One night, they even surprised us with a plate of fruit, which really made us happy!There were a couple of minor issues — the bathroom water pressure could be stronger, and one night the bathrobe felt a bit damp — however, all of this was completely compensated by their excellent staff. It was truly a memorable stay!
