Hotel Orcagna

Good location. Nice size room. Excellent breakfast.

The staff was terrible. First we booked a second night when we arrived. Then after we moved in she said we would have to move our room because we were only two nights and she wanted to give it to someone else for three nights. (It was the best room because it had a jacuzzi…ish.) so we had to move or not get a second night. Then at checkout the elevator didn’t come( fourth floor). When we finally called down she said “oh yes. General maintenance. The worst part is never I’m sorry or how can we make it right. She basically didn’t care. But at least she was polite about it.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Everything was excellent from the moment we checked in until the day we left. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast hostess greeted us each morning with a warm smile.Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a very cozy bed. Despite facing the road, it was impressively quiet, and we experienced no street noise at all. The shower was great, and we appreciated the well-stocked tea and coffee facilities. The hotel is about 20 min walk from the centre.We will definitely return on our next trip to Florence.

First of all, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They helped us with everything we needed, especially since we were traveling with children (6 years old) and seniors (over 65).We booked two rooms, both of which were large, clean, and very comfortable. In one room, we were four people (two adults and two children), and there was plenty of space for the beds, a sofa, and enough room to move around freely. We also had a balcony, which was a nice bonus.The second room was more like a spacious mini-apartment, with a kitchen, living room, bedroom, large bathroom, and a dining table.We enjoyed complimentary coffee, snacks, and drinks, and the rooms were consistently well cleaned. We also had access to the Disney Channel and other thoughtful amenities. At night I had to work (online, smartworking) and I was in the hall from 1am to 5am, and I had complimentary coffee and drinks. Breakfast was incredibly generous, high quality, and served with great kindness. Reading my own review, I understand it may sound hard to believe, but this was truly the best hotel experience my family and I had during our two-week trip across Italy. Hotel Orcagna is living proof that the number of stars does not matter when it comes to making guests feel welcome and cared for.

I may find the elevator a bit small, especially if you have large luggage. But this is only because I am asked to mention what I did not like. In fact, elevator or not, my family and I will go back next year. It was great.

The location was good, walking distance to the center. The breakfast was excellent and value for money. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There were times at night when we heard noises of running water and drilling.

Staff was exceptional and beyond hospitable. They went out of their way to make sure that we had a pleasant stay. They made recommendations and provided instructions to local restaurants, trains, buses, and other transportation services such as calling and making taxi reservations. The kitchen staff and room cleaning staff were outstanding as well. In all, I wish I could have rated them a 10+ overall. The location was minutes away from downtown and all the stores, restaurants and Historical sites, a perfect location. Would definitely go back

Reception staff are very friendly, great breakfast.

The only down side is the cabinet in the room was a military storage locker related to Chinese army warfare (with China flag on it) . During the two nights I stayed there, I kept having nightmares and dreamed that I was in a war. It was really frightening.I honestly don’t understand why the hotel would place something like this inside a guest room.

Superb little hotel - very clean and comfortable, Very clean room with a cute balcony of the streets of Florence. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and delicious. We loved our room which was very clean and spacious.

Parking or stopping was a nightmare in the evening ... cars parked on all the narrow roads. We had to make couple of rounds before we could stop. But that is the situation in the area, and not of the hotel. Once checked-in, the hotel recommended parking was close and safe.

Proximity to city center, easy to reach when coming from outside Florence by car, paid parking in 50 meters from the hotel. Big rooms, big bathrooms, daily clean and minibar in the room including coffee machine with daily refills.

A bit cold in the breakfast saloon but consider this was January.

Room can be noisy if guests in adjacent rooms are loud. Perhaps little sound dampening between the walls.Hotel is about 20 min walk to the Florence restaurant/shopping/sightseeing areas, so somewhat incovnient.

Located just outside of historic city center, short walk will bring you to central locations. The staff is helpful and friendly. Comfortable and large rooms. Parking garage is a big plus, was very help for us, since parking on the street or nearby parking was nearly impossible

Neighboring room shower was quite loud and heard inside of our room. Would loved more vegetables for a choice at breakfast

Breakfast is delicious. The staff is helpful and friendly. Location is good, 15-20 minutes walking to centre.

We had some problems with wi-fi. It would always disconnect and reconnect repeatedly in the room.

Amazing breakfast and super friendly stuff. The room was bright, clean and pretty. It is close enough to center. Great experience!

Note that the parking is not available. However, there is a very big one near the hotel. We payed 13 euros for the night

It was clean and spacious for 3 people. Great water pressure.

Had to leave key in a slot to keep the lights on. Bathroom was small & had no shower door

Hotel front desk staff (Cristina, Laura & Valeria) were extremely accommodating & helpful. Hotel was ideally located around some delightful restaurants. Bus stops were just a few minutes away. Breakfast was very sumptuous!
