    Pros +

    • Beautiful aristocratic home. Authentic Italian atmosphere. Good breakfast.
    • Clean hotel Nice breakfast
    • Front office staff were all very nice. The location was great. Walking distance from everything. The hotel itself was okay. The rooms were seriously lacking and are desperate for remodeling/renovating. Breakfast was simple. No A/C.

    Cons -

    • The AC was weak. The balcony was lovely, perhaps more comfy chairs? Beer was not cold! It was 96 that day outside.
    • A little bit far from city center
    • Rooms need remodeling. Very old. No A/C.

The ambience was one that took you back in time but it had the modern amenities.

Location, property condition, history, features, size of the villa, and STAFF. Can’t ask for more!!!

Although the property is a little way out of the centre, it is a beautiful walk along the river Arno to the sights and museums.

The breakfast did not start until 8.00 am. When I had to leave earlier the staff would bring me a very good coffee to have before I went out.

    Very good breakfast and staff.

Motel was well kept, but somewhat aged.

Got sick because the room was cold and the water is very cold in the middle of winter, now I’m sick taking medicine because of that, one of the gentlemen at the reception was not even responsive not even apologizing

The room was stunning and attention was paid to every detail. The AC worked super well. The view of from the balcony was beautiful, including full view of the Duomo. The location was really nice because it is right on the river, and close to everywhere I wanted to go, without being in the thick of chaos or noise. There is a garden and a rooftop terrace, both gorgeous and peaceful. The staff was absolutely top tier, all extremely kind and helpful.Breakfast was delicious and easy.

I can't think of one thing I didn't like about this hotel. It was wonderful.

Staying here is like staying in your own private mansion. There are two expansive sitting rooms in addition to a large room used to serve breakfast. Outside there are formal gardens where you can eat your breakfast. I was torn between a couple of hotels when making this reservation, but was really pleased with this choice. The streets around the hotel have many really good restaurants and the St.Regis is around the corner.

We loved everything, I was happy I requested a terrace overlooking the Arno river.

The staff was very very nice and accommodating. The rooms were also great, I especially enjoyed a late night bath in the cold evenings. The hotel is not in the strict centre of Florence, but still very walkable to anything, so it was pretty quiet.

The kindness of the staff. Exceptional welcoming at checkin, explaining the facilities of the hotel, kindness of the staff in the breakfast room and fast check out. The hotel is a beautiful structure with a little view on Duomo, but offering also an amazing terrace facing Arno river. The gentleman in the check in gave us tips on areas to visit and also restaurants. The hotel has a garden whee car could be parked and we were allowed to leave our car til late when we had our flight. Cleanliness is superb.

    Breakfast could be varied.

Amazing Location/View/Staff ... Had a very pleasant experience!

Great location by the water. Staff was very helpful.

Shower would frequently get too hot all of a sudden, maybe when neighbors were using the water too. The room was overly perfumed every time it was cleaned, and the facilities are quite dated which I understand comes with the historical nature of the hotel. I also would have liked an additional towel holder.

Beautiful, small hotel in a historic building, with lovely decorator touches and a caring staff. Nicely decorated for the holidays. It’s just beyond the hustle and bustle of the Ponte Vecchio/Uffizi area, so a bit quieter - yet only a few blocks’ walk away down the lovely Arno River. Lovely buffet breakfast every morning. Small dogs are ok; and they were lovely and kind in accommodating my dog.

It’s an old building, which will have its quirks. Like thin walls; so loud neighbors can be a challenge. Breakfast is very nice, but exactly the same every morning. On a longer stay, a little variety - even if only on the hot dishes - would be appealing.

The location and their cute dog.

I didn’t feel like this was 4 star. The property is VERY dated, everything is old and worn. I trusted the reviews and thought it would just be authentic Italian, but the truth is it’s just old and they ask you to score 9 or 10 via text before you leave - which I didn’t like. We weren’t aware that we had to hand our key back whenever we left foe the day, so on our second evening we were stopped going up the stairs and asked for our names etc, then on the last day we went out for a walk before check out and told to leave our key. The night porter on shift in an evening is miserable, no greeting just a silent interaction. The doors are heavy and small so quite difficult to enter the property with suitcases and no concierge there to help. Same with the bedroom doors, they’re like wood wardrobe doors with a flimsy key. It’s fortunate that I wear earplugs to sleep because I’m a light sleeper and also an eye mask because the noise of the fan in a morning was unbearable, you can hear anyone pass on the landing and they had the heating on full blast with no thermostat, so we left the window open all day whilst we were out, there was also no DND sign to reject room cleaning. Pretty disappointing stay, but we got to see Florence and enjoyed nicer luxuries when we were out

Hotel is beautiful! Breakfast was amazing, the garden and rooftop is very calming. The Staff was so nice and friendly! The Room was big and comfortable, with a balcony.

    Nothing!

The staff members were absolutely amazing - so kind and helpful. They made my stay an absolute highlight, I really commend them for their hard work and hospitality. The facilities look a bit old but this actually adds to its charm, the whole place is very authentic. There is good breakfast and access to a small terrace on top of the building with a great view!

Nice balcony with nice view. Friendly staff.

Parking on the street is a catastrophe. Parking at the hotel 30 Euro per day, but safe. Shower was slippery. I slipped almost 2 times. It is a big slippery bathtub.
