Pros +
- Incredibly clean
- Only the location!
- Excellent location, friendly staff, well-heated rooms in winter
Cons -
- The bathroon was tragic no shower at all and small you couldn't get in (room no 4). After complaing they changed our room to a "better one". Also the breakfast was terrible.
- Toilet was noisy
- This is not a hotel, is just an accommodation facility very old and with the facilities broken. The accommodation was horrible: - the size of the room was very small, we left full of bruises, - the furniture very old and everything was rotten (door of the bathroom)- there was no shower cabin in the bathroom, we had to shower with the water pooring on the toilet and on the sink in the bathroom; the toilet did not flush easily- even tough it was January there was no heat during week days, they only put the heat on in the week end- the bed sheets were clean, but they did not have a duvet only the bed covering blanket (that we had to use for covering up, especially with no heat in the room) and this was dirty.

Warm greeting, comfort and cleanliness.
The location, close to the old center of Florence. However the town is not very large.Breakfast was decent, basic but decent and better than the usual Italian breakfasts: there was one type of salami, one type of ham and one type of cheese, along with cereals, croissants, butter, fruit compot and good coffee and juice, they even have milk. However, the good location and breakfast did not make up for the very bad accommodation.

Perfect Location. Staff always very nice and professional. Good breakfast.
Shower was very uncomfortable.
Wonderful staff really cooperative and helpful. Rooms and nice location.
Everything was fine. It was a beautiful value for money. Not six star but definitely a place. I’ll go back to.
Very glad to see that the hotel was so close to the Duomo. Best hotel to visit the Duomo. very nice sunlight on the Duomo if you take a walk before breakfast.
We loved Hotel Bodoni, the front desk had someone there 24/7 and they were the sweetest ever! We had daily housekeeping, and the location was perfect! We had an amazing view and the Duomo was a 5 minute walk. We came for new years and it was the perfect area. The heater was very nice and it was toasty for a December stay, and turned off at midnight so we wouldn’t get too cold. Breakfast was provided, but we woke up late for it!
The room/bathroom was incredibly small. We had big suitcases so it was hard to walk in the room, but I understand because of the location. The bathroom had the sink, toilet, and bidet with the shower head so it got very wet, but we got used to it.
Hotel very well located. Welcoming staff. The hotel has a partnership with the "City Parking Fiesolana" car park, 25€ per day. They come to return the car to the foot of the hotel at the agreed time. Everything went very well.
Hotel Bodoni is very centrally located just a few minutes walk from the Duomo. The staff are very friendly, breakfast is simple but plentiful. The rooftop area would be lovely in the summer months. Bedrooms are simple but comfy and the fridge was very useful. The hotel is also very close to the bus network allowing access to the whole of the city.
Location
Everything else, no facilities, bathroom was so dirty, needs to drop key Everything needs to go out. Heating was not sufficient. Bed was not appropriate.
The hotel was very clean, it actually smelled like soap or detergent. They were cleaning and tidying our room daily. The rooms have both a radiator and an air-condinioner for heating purposes. The breakfast was a pleasant experience, i would prefer a few more savory options, but that's just me.
The bathroom was that small that there was no shower cabin in it (but understandable because of the location). The bathroom floor is the shower cabin, I didn't have a problem wuth that since I have showered like this quite a few times before. Pro tip: wash your hair right above the sink to reduce the amount of water the ends up on the floor.
The roof terrace had a lovely view. The location was brilliant, walkable to everything and a supermarket across the road. Staff were generally friendly and helpful.
We were both badly bitten by bedbugs ("cimici" in Italian) in Room 42, then we were moved to room 37, where we were also severely bitten by bedbugs. Both these rooms were on the first floor. My hand was red and swollen and the bites triggered lymphoedema in my right hand and forearm. We cut our stay short and left in a state of considerable distress. Booking.com took my subsequent complaint very seriously and have followed up to check that the bed bugs have been exterminated. I sincerely hope this situation has been resolved. Given that I travel frequently and have never encountered bed bugs in my life, it seems unlikely that I brought them in (as was suggested by the hotel staff). Such a pity, as it was otherwise a great hotel.
- central location close to all amenities and only 20’ walk from train station- friendly and helpful staff - clean- comfortable beds- 24 hr reception- next to a gym (if u want to add a workout also to ur stay)
- poor breakfast- they keep ur passport at the check in - quite old premise, however matches the old town ambiance
The location is amazing in terms of proximity to Florence main areas (walking distance), nice balcony with great views (Did not use more due to heavy rain) Staff at reception were very helpful and nice with all clients. Having your car collected by garage staff is a good service.
The location it's in the centre and driving there is not an easy task, specially with the amount of contruction on several streets. The hotel is in a flat building with hoterh B&B operating in other flats. The reception os on the top floor and the elevator to get ther is small and outdated, the room was on a different floor. The room was big, however was not confortable, there was a lot of mould on the walls, smelled of humidity (not advisable to people with asthma or other breathing problems). Toilet was dirty, my family refused to have a shower due to this. Noisy area. The collection garage team that kept the car overnight used the seats to sleep and smoke, when they return the car the next day, the passanger back rest was down and the car smelled of tobacco
Staff were friendly and polite. Good location
My door handle broke a couple of times but staff on the night shift fixed it
Location and care of the staff are perfect. Rooms are simple and bathrooms typically condensed (shower together with everything else), it is good value.
Awesome reception, everyone were super kind and cheerful. The breakfast was really good to. The room was clean and comfortable.
It had a shower but no bathtub/shower tray.
Great location. Friendly staff and pretty cozy rooms
The elevator was a bit frightening
