Grand Panama Hotel Firenze

The room was spacious and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The receptionist was helpful.

The room smelled like mold and no breakfast.

This was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever been to and ruined the last night of our trip to Italy. There was NO human ever (and no "bell to ring for assistance") as the sign said. We didn't mind the room just had the basics and looked nothing like the photos, but the air conditioning wasn't working and with nobody on site, we had to leave and find another room on a Friday night in Florence. That of course put us far from city center so all we could do was stay in our room till flight next morning. I will be seeking reimbursement for this room charge that we did not use. We didn't sign up for a hostel. We booked a hotel room and it was horrible!

Quite place

We were charged for the breakfast and at the property they refused to serve breakfast.The AC and WiFi were not working.

To need to make a complaint regarding this hotel and I expect a reimbursement. 1) There is no front desk, there isn’t a person to do the check in, or anything. There is no machines to pay with card either. 2) There is no air conditioning and on the page it says there is. This hotel it says that if a 3 star hotel and it doesn’t even have a reception person. 3) There is no WiFi. They advertised WiFi and WiFi only works the 1st day. I told them about the WiFi issue and nothing was done. 4) Finally, there is no breakfast, and I paid for the breakfast so I expect that money to be refunded to me because there is no breakfast, none, nothing. Staff were lovely and great location.

The shower is possibly the worst shower ever, poorly built that you can’t just wash your body you hair will get wet, the door is silly and you end up turning the shower off by just moving around.The breakfast wasn’t great, the breakfast staff bless her she was so lovely but could not make a cappuccino to save her life - worst coffee I had in Italy.

Horror scene

This hotel was a horror scene - there was a bloody handprint on the bed and the wall paper was peeling big time - the whole room stank of cigarette. I immediately checked into another hotel

Good location, comfortable bed, overall clean and quiet room.

No minibar even tho it was listed in the room description.

The only positive thing is nice and friendly personal.

The condition of a room was awful. I can say it was a drama room with dirt on the walls and pilling walls, terrible smell of humidity. All is so old and in the bad condition . The price does not correspond to the condition of the room. I have written to the support and I have called but I had never received any reply. Never again to this stinky and miserable hotel. Breakfast was simple and satisfied.

The heater doesnt work (the staff told us) and they gave us extra blanket for it. The room isnt that cold for us so we dont use the extra blanket. They gave us free breaksfast for compensation. Near tram and bus stop.

Good location in a quieter area and well connected to transport to airport and city centre

Room was dirty, smelled of cigarettes, there was no heating and NO HOT WATER!! No staff overnight and rowdy guests, customer service absolutely useless

Good location. I liked the cappuccino for breakfast. The bed was really comfortable.The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was no heating so the reception gave me a heater to use but it was still a bit cold in the room. In the first room I got, there was no hot water so they gave me a better, bigger room. The shower had hit water but I had to wait a couple of minutes, which wasted so much water. The breakfast was very basic and limited. They only had butter once, the other days i had to do without.

I had originally booked a stay at the Panama Hotel in Florence. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the hotel was closed due to heating issues, and I was relocated to what seemed like an Airbnb in another part of the city. While the transfer was managed (by me - not by the hotel), things went downhill from there.I was placed in a ground-floor unit at Pitty Apartments, and the experience was far from satisfactory. The room had no Wi-Fi or television (not working), a persistent unpleasant smell, and poor cell signal—making it challenging to stay connected. To make matters worse, breakfast, which I had already paid for at the Panama Hotel, was not provided.Overall, the inconvenience and lack of amenities made for a disappointing stay. While the Panama Hotel may have seemed like a budget-friendly option initially, the experience of being relocated and the substandard conditions at Pitty Apartments were unacceptable.

While the Panama Hotel in Florence offers a decent stay with a central location, the breakfast leaves much to be desired. The quality and variety do not justify the cost, and I would recommend skipping it altogether. Instead, consider visiting a local cafeteria for a much better and more authentic dining experience.

Long time to get pretty warm water in shower,AC noisy but almost does not work

The staff were nice and accommodating.

We didn’t love this property. It was very dated and the room felt a bit dirty. Also during our stay the heat broke and it was freezing and it was a whole day before we got transferred to a different hotel, but we appreciated them transferring us.

This was a nice basic and reasonably priced hotel. It was very clean and quiet. Nothing to complain about.

I think one or two simple additions would improve the stay a lot, for example a kettle to make hot water.

The location was near the city and public transport.The bed was really comfortable and the staff was cleaning the room every morning and giving new towels.

The room was really cold and the heating was not working, we talked qith the staff but they did not fix it. The staff is trying their best but the facilitiea in the hotel are really poor.

Very small rooms and bathrooms. Shower & Toilets extremely close to each other. AC did not work.
