Essence Hotel

no breakfast available but not necessary as there are plenty of great places around the hotel or at a walking distance.The hotel was super clean. The staff very friendly and helpful.I little out of the center but walking distance to everything.Very quiet neighborhood.Conveniently located to the SMN train station.would recommend!

It's hard to find. The room is smaller than I thought. The staff were friendly.

This hotel was so amazing for our one night stay in Florence. It was clean, comfortable, private, safe and the staff was so hospitable. They greeted us from the second we walked in and even gave us a map with highlights of the city. They were so generous and kind. They provided a continental breakfast and water for the room. We are so thankful we decided to book here because it far exceeded our expectations. The location was prime for train routes, airport or walking the city.

Maybe a little more signage out front for us to find the entrance. Otherwise nothing!!

The elevator wasn't always running due to people not following the well-posted signs.

It was very clean, the owner was soooo nice and kind!

Two constructive feedback: It was hard to understand how to get in. We felt very confused and didn’t know how to ring them for them to open the door. Once we were inside because someone left, it was not clear what button to press to call them. I would say that it should be more clear in the instructions on how to get there. Lastly, there is no room for your toiletry in the bathroom which is not the end of the world but makes a definite difference in the bathroom!

The lady as the hotel host was super nice and helpfull in suggesting anything about Florence during our stay. She took good care of the hotel guests . Thank you, mam. The hotel is clean and looks new renovated.

Would be better if aroma therapies is given on the coridor area and room to get more relaxing atmosfeer.The elevator is much depending on other previous person in closing the door after using it. It should be well.closed ,otherwise the other user will not be able to go up or down.

I seldom leave reviews for accommodation, but this time the experience was genuinely outstanding. The room was clean and cozy (sofa, shower gel in pouches, big showering space), the staff were pleasant and very helpful, and the views at sunrise and sunset were excellent.It’s on the 3rd floor but you can use the elevator, within a building shared with residential apartments. This seems quite common in Italy?

It’s modern and well maintained. Located in a safe and quiet area. The view from the room is stunning! I can see the sunrise with the duomo. 10/10!!!

The staff at Essence hotel is most impressive..We stayed 5 nights and were greeted and cared for like family !!Can’t express our gratitude enough for Rafaela and Luca who made our stay even more special.

Cleanness and location

My room Door was not well locked and handle of door from inside was broken, i told the attendant staff and she said she will repair it, but when i came back at night it was same, i couldn't feel safe that night, door also is not isolating noise and allow corridor lights to enter easily from outside as wellThere is no mirror inside room also, the only one available in bathroom was so high for person who is 160cm already!

The room was clean, well stocked and had a decent sized bathroom and shower.

Shower. There wasn’t neither shower door nor curtain. All floor in the bathroom was badly wet, no matter how I tried.

Great location near to the main station and close walks to many of the sights you’ll want to see. Large clean and modern room was a delight. Staff were extremely helpful and having a nice park opposite was a bonus. Would return here for sure.

I wish there were a door to enclose the shower. Every time we showered the water would splash everywhere and it was horrible.

This was my favorite place I stayed in all of Italy. It was so comfortable and the room had a stunning view. The ac worked great, the bathroom was updated and lovely, the woman who checked us in was very friendly, and it was an amazing location. Incredible stay for the amount we paid.

Only thing they could do better was give two room keys, you need to leave the key in a slot for the room to have electricity and there were times that I went out while my partner took a nap or vice versa, and that meant either one of us left without a room key or the other stayed behind in the dark. All in all though would recommend.

Breakfast was so-so. Location was wonderful- easy to walk to all areas of interest. We got to the hotel early but our rooms were ready so we were able to check in right away

Hotel is in a great location, around 12 minutes from the trajn station and 10 -15 to the city center. It's clean and new. The lovely gentleman at the reception went above and beyond to help with everything and make us feel welcome. Highly recommend!

Our room felt a bit cramped but it was our choice, just didn't pay attention at the square meters when booking.

Hotel location was good, staff was great, room was comfortable. Check-in process not the easiest as they're not available 24hs, so it requires a little planification and communication with them. We didn't have trouble as they provided a solution that worked.

The door to the bedroom was faulty and didn't close properly every time. Had to open and close multiple times until I could get it to click and shut properly.
