Santa Maria Novella - WTB Hotels

This hotel is a little gem in the busy city of Florence. Bustling Piazza, quiet and cool on the interior. Rooms were very spacious, keeping the old world charm, quiet with lovely amenities. Pretty dining room for included breakfast. Staff knowledgeable

Outstanding staff. Helpful, friendly, efficient, service beyond expectations. Breakfast alone worth staying at SMN.

We enjoyed a room with two floors. Bedroom on a separate level than bathroom. Stairs could be an issue.

Perfect location to everything and the train. Beautiful hotel

Very conveniently located. Great breakfast provided.

Staff, location and ambience.

The room was too hot for sleeping and there was no way to adjust the temperature.

The location was perfect in close proximity to the train station and central Florence.

The room was a bit hot at times but not unbearable.

Great location. Beautiful sitting rooms. Great breakfast. Great location in Florence. Friendly staff. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

The location was very good. The hotel was lovely. The room was spacious.

The room did not have a nice view. Breakfast could have been improved maybe with a little more variety of proteins. Also there were often delays on replenishing scrambled eggs and bacon when they ran out.

The location of the hotel was amazing. Perfectly central and easy to walk to everything. No need to book a taxi, there are restaurants, shops, etc. everywhere around it. Easy walk to Duomo and uffizi.

No AC in winter so room was very warm without window open (no screens). We slept great but did crack our windows every night. Being an old hotel and we were on the 3rd floor we found the room very stuffy without doing this.

The location and friendly staff.

Truck noise in the middle of the night. Nothing that the hotel could cpntroll.

I’ve stayed here many times. The hotel is elegant, the staff is gracious and helpful, the location is central. If the hotel is in your budget, I can’t think of a better way to anchor your time in Florence. If you are making a first trip to Florence and want to be charmed, you may want to dig a bit deeper into your pocket and stay here. It will reinforce all the other beauties of the city. Try coming off season. The graciousness of Florence is more evident then, and the rates in the Santa Maria Novella are more reasonable.

All is lovely.

Everything...breakfast?

Breakfast, although beautifully displayed the lack of choice so disappointing. Lack of PowerPoint's.

Right in the heart of Florence, easily accessible to main attractions, train station, and shops/cafes

Beautiful property. Very well maintained. This was an excellent location - a very easy and quick walk from the train station. They have a beautiful breakfast.

A little expensive for the level of hotel. Property is more aligned with a sub $200/night. The bar is nice but not relaxing - felt too much like a club.

Clean, spacious, welcoming, location, staff was attentive

Clean, spacious

It’s warm and nicely appointed with good taste. The location is excellent.

The maintenance is a litttle shabby needs better attention to details like caulking corners need cleaning etc.

Staff were polite and friendly.Very clean, smelt beautiful. Breakfast had a good range of options. Toiletries were lovely.Turn down service in the evening with water and a chocolate was very welcome.

Location is within easy walking distance to all sights and SMN train station . Busy but quiet location

Minor inconvenience but tub drained slowly

Location was perfect. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good and had a lot of options. We had an early flight home and because we had to leave before breakfast opened they packed us a breakfast to go.

Beautiful room and bathroom! Quiet! Great AC! Good location!
