About
If you are looking for a mix of modern comforts and traditional architecture, and of course great value for money, Hotel Boccaccio has it all; right next to the station. The hotel is named after the Tuscan poet Giovanni Boccaccio. It is set in a historic, Florentine building that dates back to the 18th century. It has been completely modernized and extended and now includes precious marble and all the latest amenities. A terrace is at guests disposal. Your guest room comes with wood floors, air conditioning, and satellite TV with international channels. The bathroom features either a bathtub or hydromassage shower. Wi-Fi is free throughout. The Boccaccio Hotel is right in the heart of Florence, between the Arno River and Santa Maria Novella Church. The station and bus terminal are just across the road.

- Close to the station, very friendly staff, short walk to the important attractions, the room was surprisingly large and air conditioning worked!
- This hotel was amazing.  the front desk clerk was extremely friendly and welcoming. He gave us a map and told us what we should see. This made our short time in Florence very easy to navigate. Hotel was clean and comfortable with a great breakfast!
- The staff was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. I really enjoyed chatting with them and they went out of their way to make my stay care free, such as carrying luggage and arranging taxis. The complimentary breakfast was better than in most restaurants
Cons -
- It's noisy at night if you open the window...not much they can do about that!
- Nothing. It truly was a great experience
- No, I highly recommend it and would choose it again.

No, I highly recommend it and would choose it again.
The staff made contact several days ahead, responded to my questions quickly and were very helpful when we were there. The cafe for breakfast and snacks was great. Close to everything, easy to walk. Rooms are small but very cozy, quiet and clean.
No. It was a pleasant experience
The staff at this hotel was amazing. They constantly went above and beyond to help us with our vacation plans.
No, I loved this hotel and would recommend to friends and stay here again.
The Front Desk staff were awesome and amazing. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful. Breakfast is delicious and staff very friendly.
Convenient location near Santa Maria Novella train station. Room was comfortable. Enjoyed the terrace above street level.
Really can't think of anything wrong.
Breakfast and 24/7 check in were highlights.
Small room for two people. Room right outside square so lots of road noise.
The best hotel I stayed in Florence. Stars don’t mean nothing, because the other two where I have stayed before were four stars and Hotel Boccaccio came out superior in al details. Great location, very clean, delicious breakfast, staff very polite and friendly, they really went above and beyond to made my experience exceptional. I strongly recommend, especially for a solo travel.
When booking the hotel, we knew we would only be there for a short amount of time, as we were leaving the next morning. We had a nice breakfast the morning before our departure.
We booked this hotel because of the description of how close it was to the airport. As we got closer, we realized that we were in the city of Florence. We had our car and had to park it in a nearby garage for 35 euros (which we knew ahead of time). The hotel itself was extremely small, as were the rooms. As we were only there for one night, it was tolerable. But comparing the cost to what we got, we would not stay there again.
The front desk staff were very helpful, maps, points of interest and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was good and they stored our luggage until our departure.
The location was very close to train station which was great but was slightly noisy.
The guy at the front desk and the location.
I realize there's old very old buildings in Italy. I had a problem with moles it made me sick. I checked out of there 24 hours later, I was so much better. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.
Location very convenient - close to train station and walkable to just about everything. The room and bed were comfortable (first soft pillows so far!!). The bathroom was a good size and lots of hot water. Everything was very clean. AC worked fine. Minimal street noise even on 1st floor on the corner. I was able to check in early without extra charge. There is a dedicated, staffed room to store luggage safely, with chits to claim it later. Staff was uniformly helpful and pleasant and fluent in English. I chose this hotel for my last nite in Florence as it has a 24-hour staffed reception - I had an early flight and wanted someone there if I had a taxi problem at 3.30 am. Reception kindly pre-booked a taxi the day before, and all went smoothly. As I left early, I cannot comment on breakfast. However, they did not provide a take-away breakfast box and the promised espresso did not turn up. A couple of minor maintenance issues - toilet paper dispenser broken, shower want sprayed water all over.
Nothing. Altho a bit pricey.
Location, staff, and breakfast are amazing. If you’re traveling by train, this is close to the station and a great option to drop your luggage and go, but not in the chaos of the station. Via Della Scala also has a lot of great shops-like Santa Maria Novella. This is our go-to place to stay in Florence. Staff also helps arrange transportation to and from the airport, or other locations.
This hotel is visible from the train station, a block away. Clean, quiet, comfortable, large room, big, comfortable bed, generous breakfast that includes fresh fruit. Would definitely recommend this hotel for its location and comfort, would use again.
no complaints

Perfect location if you want to be near the train and close to old town. Room was quiet and comfortable. Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff.
Staffs were good. Nice breakfast. Walking distance to the station. Convenient shop very close by.
Room was available before check-in time. Staff always ready to help.
City taxes pricey
Front desk was great. Loved the breakfast and breakfast staff. Super location.
