Hotel Rex

The breakfast was great and the location was phenomenal.

The rooms were small and dated.

The gentleman serving breakfast was very nice and efficient. The breakfast itself was decent and the man working the breakfast was very hard working and by himself. Location was very central.

The hotel is very old and in despite need of an upgrade. The bathroom had mold w/ a very bad molding smell. It was very tiny and the shower was just a sloped floor with a drain. The air-conditioning had a loud high-pitch noise.

The location was the main draw for our booking and was the main advantage to our stay.

The hotel feels very old and unkept. The bedding and bathroom were clean, but with curtains, bedspread and other items looking so old, it decreased the feeling of cleanliness. The person at check-in seemed bothered to deal with us upon arrival.

It was close to train station and the Galleria dell Accademia. The staff was courteous and helpful when we checked in and out. They held our baggage for us as we explored the city before our train departure. We felt safe walking around the area.

The location was why we picked this place rooms were clean.

Staff was wonderful, kind and accommodating. The rooms were squeaky clean. Breakfast was delightful. I would stay here again.

The common areas (staircases and halls) could use some deep cleaning or updating. The bathroom was small.

Hotel is well located, Breakfast was good, personnel was pleasant.

Room was very small. Barely enough room for two people with luggage. Had to be careful not to hit the wall when I got out of bed or stub my toes walking around the room. Could easily ear noise from the adjoining rooms.

Sorry, mixed these up. This is all the stuff we hated:The pictures are not what it really looks like. The place is a mess. People smoking in their rooms and all I could smell the whole time was cigarette smoke day and night. Holes in the walls, missing handrails where they are needed and the worst furniture I have ever seen for a hotel. Air conditioner crapped out the last night there. Would never stay there again or recommend anyone else stay there.

What did we like about Hotel Rex? Clean sheets and towels every day.

Staff were fantastic but the facility is Poor do not recommend

Hand held shower in the bathroom. Shower head secures to a bracket that is broken and unable to keep it straight for proper shower. I couldn’t raise the shower head position as it kept sliding down and to bend down to shower. I tried to adjust the bracket and when I did, the shower head drop on my head and nearly getting a concussion…

Good location, friendly staff.

The balcony with a wall over 1.60 meters high. It only looked out at the sky.

First night room no WiFi, many mosquitoes, can't sleep, second day change other room ok,, breakfast start 8am, simple, small coffee machine work not well ,line up waiting,staff no smell not friendly.

great location, close to all museums and monuments. People there are very polite and helpful.

Breakfast could have more variety

It was very close to the town center. The staff were friendly, breakfast was good to start the day.

At night we could hear people shouting until 2am from the pub below the hotel.

Nothing other than the location

4 beds cramped into a tiny room. They turn the A/c off in the middle of the night which is horrible in the summer

Breakfast only opens at eight, which was a bit late for me. However, the staff offered a packed breakfast instead that I could pick up the evening before
