Hotel Jane

Hotel was undergoing renovations, so the view was blocked by scaffolding. The room's walls were paper thin which caused us to clearly hear the next room's snoring and music all night (blues). Reception offered no solution so we found another hotel.

Very nice staff. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Near train station (<10 min bt walking).

We could not control or adjust the air conditioning / the temperature of the room.

Central location, friendly and helpful reception staff with 24-hr service, clean rooms, powerful shower.

Nothing not to like.

Hotel Personals were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. There was water cooker with some tea. Its near a parking place, 15€ per 24h.

Around 2km away from the center, but it was a nice walk

Average walking distance of 20-25 mins to city center sometimes with a kid was a bit too much but we knew this already before and chose the average priced parking option compared to hotels near the city the center

Very friendly staff, great breakfast, very nice location with a 15 minute walk into the city center. I would definitely choose to stay in this neighborhood again.

The only negative was that the walls in the bathroom were a bit dirty. There were spots of an unknown substance and a smashed mosquito on the bathroom wall that could have been easily removed if the room was cleaned thoroughly.

The hygiene and cleanliness were excellent, the room was absolutely immaculate.The room was very clean, comfortable, and well designed. I expect to be in Florence again in 2026, and I will definitely book at Hotel Jane once more.Customer service was excellent, and the ladies at the front desk were professional and very kind.

The shower and the bed

Too small, no bidet

Service is wonderful.

Breakfast was limited but tasted decent. Rooms and bathroom are really small and walls are paper thin. Room is like 20x20, maybe and bed (full which supposed to be Queen) isn’t 5 feet in width.

Staff friendly and location as expected, about 20-25 minutes walk to centre/duomo.Bathroom recently modernised so this was very nice and shower pressure very good.Bed comfy as well and a good nights sleep as room quiet.

Bedroom decor needed updating and lots of marks on the walls.Terrible mosquito problem including in our room and at breakfast. We had to go round swatting the room each night we came in as they kept appearing every day and we suffered with bites. There was a plug in the bedroom which I assumed was an air freshener but it turned out to be a mosquito repellent which should have been explained at check in. Staff aware there was a problem but didn’t seem to be doing anything to reduce them.Hotel very quirky, not to our taste and although a bar of sorts we saw no-one using.Breakfast not good, food was all cold and terrible tasting coffee which I couldn’t drink.

The staff were very helpful other than one gentleman who did not seem enthusiastic with tourists from North America. The rest of the staff were unbelievably helpful and accommodating. We loved our stay!

Clean, staff, location however most importantly the breakfast is well worth the money, you absolutely should include it when booking.

I still feel it is overpriced, I realize it’s Florence but really.

Good breakfast With bacon and eggs all options and room was nice, great shower could stay under shower head massage pressure.

Lots of mosquitoes around hall ways and breakfast room and killed a few in bedroom.

Our rooms were clean, fairly large for Italian standards and with all the essentials. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast had a nice choice of sweet and salty in a quirky environment.

A minor thing for us: we turned the air on off as the unit stood on the beginning and was quite loud. One thing that was a bit off putting was the peeling paint in the shower. Not sure what the purpose is but it looks really scruffy.

The location is close to the center, only about 15 minutes walk. The staff is very friendly, they allowed us to check in quite early, also a big advantage is the garage down the street from the hotel because it is very difficult to find parking. Definitely recommended!

Friendly staff, comfortable room, good location. Close to buses, a good supermarket, and local restaurants. Would stay there again.

The breakfast was very good with many choices.The air-conditioning worked very well.

The main issue was the bathroom size, which was very small.The rooms were not soundproof, and you could hear all noises from the hall or other rooms.
