Hotel Alex

Very short walk to tram which took us to downtown Florence, friendly and helpful staff, elevator, and good breakfast.

Hotel Alex completely filled our needs for our last night in Europe before heading to the airport the following morning.

The staff were amazing. It was a bit out of the way, however it allowed us to find a super restaurant that was a 8 minute walk away. So good, we went there twice.

The elevator was somewhat adequate, but seemed like it was under powered. I have a knee that has been bothering me and taking the elevator was helpful but very slow.I also found it interesting that they changed our towels daily. We hung them up indicating we would reuse them. Stainable thinking!

Our room was very spacious, great breakfast, public transportation near by.

They had gluten free items for me each morning. Thank you. Our room was kept nice each day. The large bath towels were great. Great coffee. Grazie.

The room was big and car parking was easy. The staff were friendly and it was close to a train to get into central. It was exactly a 3 star hotel - don’t expect the best, but definitely not the worst. The staff were also quick to fix our TV that wasn’t working. The breakfast was decent and we enjoyed the staff service

Tiny lift, renovations happening at the property so there’s scaffolding all around your windows (we were on the 3rd floor). One thing with the tram (nothing to do with the property), but the tram can be absolutely packed, so you might need to wait for a couple to go past before jumping on one

Room was spacious and clean. Change of towels every day. Breakfast was ok with a few options. Asked for a kettle and was given one.

When we were there construction was being done on the outside so in the mornings it was bit noisy.

Staff excellent. Lift ridiculously small ony enough room for one person and luggage. Renovations going on to front make it lookb like a building site. Noisy. Buffet breakfast average.. The shower is too small for a tall person. Restaurant next door had good food and staff there very good as well. Location not good, too from the centre.

It was good room, near the bus station. Good breakfast.

It was clean bed and toilet, but the wall need to cleaning.

Excellent breakfast and the staff would make the coffee. The location is outside the city center, but only blocks away from the Tram. The excellent Coop.fi supermarket is nearby as well as restaurants.

It has an elevator ( tad tight), nice breakfast option of yogurt, cereal, cold cuts, boiled egg, coffee( espresso/cappuccino) juices. Staff were very helpful , giving you advice about the city and where to go. Only few minutes walk to the tram that takes you to the city centre in about 10 min. Would stay there again.

The shower curtain could be moved to give you a little more space in the shower of the spacious bathroom . There were no USB chargers in the room to charge your device, so if you are from the US, make sure to take a converter. Place is a little outdated, but the room was spacious and clean.

Lovely hotel. Very convenient location, close to the tram. Very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Nice bar. And best of all: Fantastic staff, who where extremely helpful and supportive in a challenging situation. We will come back!

Clean and big room and toilet. Friendly and helpful staffs am & pm. Bed was right. A/C was working ang good temp. They lend me their universal plug in ! Thank you very much. Bfast was very good tasty. Coffee was superb and service was excellent. The adjoining restaurant had a delicious menu, price was right. They surprised me with a Bday dessert! Thank you Jumanji! Very good seafood dishes. One of the best seafood spaghetti we tried, taste was consistent. About 20 mins by taxi to Sta Maria Novella Train station to take bullet trains frm the hotel. And 5 min walk to Federiga Metro Station for intercity. Take T1 train to Sta Maria Novella.

Elevator too tight.

1. Walking distance to the tram stop.2. More or less 20 minutes by tram to the center.3. Secured parking at $10 a day.4. They lent us umbrellas.5. Friendly and helpful staff.

1. The bed is hard and not comfortable.2. The bathroom is not 100% clean, the shower screen has some black stains at the bottom.

Very clean room, consistent breakfast, good staff.

The room was generally ok and clean, the bathroom as well; daily room cleaning/makeup and towels exchanged. The staff was nice and kind, friendly and helpful. The location was not great but the city center was easily accessible by tram.

Breakfast can be improved. Bad coffee at the machine within the breakfast room, but a good one at the bar and included as well in the breakfast / no extra cost. Just ask at the bar if you want a good coffee. The room and the bathroom
