Pros +
- Breakfast was outstanding. A lot of options, made fresh, and in a beautiful "Villa Kitchen" setting. The owners have three small toy poodles that they bring around. One of them is named Rose and is very freindly and a pleasure to spend time with.
- The location is good. The room is good size and the bed is comfortable
- Everything was perfect. It is very hard to find parking in Florence, but Villa Nardi offered gated parking which was very awesome since the city is within walking distance. The whole experience was magical. I loved that the Villa maintained the charm of the it's age but with all the updated comforts of a brand-new hotel. I loved the attention to detail in ever thing about the place. Breakfast was no less thrilling surpassing all our expectations. The host even let us leave our car securely parked inside the gate after checkout so we could enjoy the town a bit.
Cons -
- We were there in January, so we did not have a chance to enjoy the garden.
- The building is very old. We learned after getting there that the building was kept as is. For example, there were pictures of people on the walls, there’s an old library that smells of old dusty books. The walkway smells of pets. Overall, there was no services available. I had to lift my luggages. The place is ‘ creepy’ in the meaning of random people pictures on the walls and the smell of the place

We absolutely loved our stay here! The views were breathtaking — waking up to that scenery each morning was such a treat. Breakfast was delicious every day, with so much care put into every detail. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality really went above and beyond. And of course, we have to mention the adorable pups on the property — they were such a sweet bonus and made the place feel even cozier. We can’t wait to come back!
Nothing, it was great!
Villa Nardi is a beautifully remodeled old villa that perfectly blends history and charm with modern comfort. The property feels quaint and peaceful, with thoughtful touches throughout that make it feel truly special. The staff were amazing—warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating throughout our stay.Breakfast was absolutely top-notch, with a wonderful selection and attention to detail that made each morning a highlight. The location is also great—quiet, yet close enough to easily reach the main attractions. The only things to note are that the hot water and shower size reflect the building’s historic nature, so if a larger, more modern bathroom setup is important to you, it’s worth knowing in advance. Otherwise, everything about our stay was excellent. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates authentic charm and exceptional hospitality.
Perfect location within walking distance of Ponte Vecchio with secure parking. It was our second time as guests at Villa Nardi and the accommodations, communication, hosts & breakfast were excellent. We will return. We spend a month in Chianti every fall and this will be our base for future trips to Florence.
Not a thing! Everything was perfect.
The location and welcome staff were exceptional. Breakfast was excellent. Historical villa.
The air-conditioning was weak as it was unseasonably warm
This is a gorgeous, serene property away from the noise and hustle. It is a villa that has been restored by someone with excellent taste. The breakfast is large, with lots of options and delicious! The attention to detail at villa nardi sets it apart…for instance, there are three types of honey available for breakfast in the morning! Ingrid at the front desk is lovely, warm and welcoming and the young owner is on site and is helpful and accommodating.
Nothing; we loved every minute of our stay!
The room was beautiful inside. Bed was comfortable and AC worked good. Breakfast was delicious and promptly served.
Location was a bit far from main attractions for our preference but the property was still worth it.
The place is an experience, you feel like a aristocrat in the old times, the rooms are big and comfortable, the breakfast has a lot of options and well served (the best breakfast in italy) the personnel is nice and a lot of parking spaces.
It’s far from the city.
This was hands down my favorite stay during our trip to Italy! The location is ideal if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat without being far from the action. It’s just a short, easy walk to the heart of Florence, so you get the best of both worlds—quiet when you need it, but close enough to explore the city.We were especially grateful for the ample parking, as we had a car, which made things much easier. The room itself was by far the largest we had during our entire stay in Italy—and absolutely beautiful. The host and staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. We looked forward to the delicious breakfast each morning, and the added charm of the dogs on the property was a lovely bonus. Little conveniences like selling bus tickets at the front desk added to the convenience. All in all, this place truly made our time in Florence unforgettable. Highly recommended!
Everything was great
Everything about this property is simply fantastic. Location and proximity to downtown Florence yet in a calm neighborhood. Staff were great and the breakfast is one of the best we've had on a vacation.
Amazing historical villa in the heart of Florence. Very close to the city center by foot, very well located - in a neighbourhood of wonderful historical villas. Great staff, exquisitely decorated villa that offers a true return in the 19th century. I strongly recommend, it is an amazing experience, I absolutely loved it!
Martha one of the owners was very welcoming, property is very beautifully is restored villa, in a very quiet zone of Florence 15 minute walk to the gates of the old Ponte Vecchio, fantastic grounds surrounding the property and a beautiful outdoor breakfast area
The staff was very efficient, attentive and pleasant, particularly Ingrid. She met us upon arrival, briefed us on the property, and gave us a lot of information regarding the area, maps, breakfast, etc. She continued to be very helpful throughout our stay. We were provided assistance with making dinner reservations and retrieving taxis. All in all, the hotel made everything seem-less. The grounds around the Villa are well maintained and create a peaceful environment where guests can relax after a long day seeing the sites. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go.
Nothing that I can think of.
The location was good. Nice decor
The pillow and the bed is not comfortable at all. There is no service for luggage we carried our bags alone and the elevator is VERY small it fits one bag only
From the moment we entered the driveway through the gate we were meet by the owner and shown were to park and then it was an easy checkin and the room was amazing and comfortable. The breakfast was incredible, and delish.
Nothing at all.
Lovely location in a green, peaceful neighborhood full of beautiful old villas. Just a 20–30 minute walk to the center of Florence, but far enough to feel away from the tourist buzz.
Our balcony overlooked the gorgeous gardens, the city of Florence and the backdrop of the hills and mountains- so rich. Could have sat there with my watercolors all day
Our stay was perfect!
Everything ! Esp the doggie and the staffThe garden is exceptional
A bit of distance from town but still very manageable
