Pros +
- Beautiful grounds and building
- Amazing hotel to stay in … it has free parking, also they have a shuttle service but I didn’t use it sense I had a car The staff is very nice and helpful The vibes of the hotel are amazing a very historical building with amazing gardens to walk through The breakfast.. oh the breakfast it’s really something special. A small buffet yet it has everything and everything is very delicious.. It is a must to have the breakfast sense it’s not next to any breakfast place so it’s better to have it in the hotel before heading out
- Beautiful view, garden, and room
Cons -
- Modern service of charging stations for electronics lacking
- I ran out of hot water in the shower. And because it must come from a separate tank, the water stopped. Very perplexing for a 4 star hotel. It seemed to fill a bit quick o I as able to finish, but it was surprising. This is the only issue I had.
- Showers are way to small and toilet to close to the wall.

Beautiful view, garden, and room
They rightfully brag about their garden; it’s impressive, even in November. This is a quality hotel that has sitting rooms, a garden to sit in, a bar and restaurant so don’t stay in your room. The room was comfortable but without all those extra chairs (was one) some have because it is a place to sleep. Staff was friendly and helpful and the shuttle dropped you in one of two very convenient places. Location is about 1 mile, maybe a bit more, from town so if you’re walking, keep that in mind but lots of cars in the car park. The view looks over the hills and part of the city and is pleasant. The restaurant serves a good a la carte menu. It truly does have a charm.

View was beautiful.
Showers are way to small and toilet to close to the wall.
15th Century construction fully modernized for guests’ comfort while maintaining the historic charm and ambience. Great hotel; great staff, great location away from the hustle of downtown.
I liked everything.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location couldn’t be better — peaceful, close to everything, and surrounded by nature. The garden is creating a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The shuttle service was very helpful and well organized. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable.!
Everything was perfect — almost too perfect to believe! :)
Location is nice and quiet, and walking thru the beautiful gardens adds to the serenity of the location, very pleasant and restful. Far enough away from the hustle & bustle of Florence, which tends to be crowded, but an easy walk to the sites in Florence, or, the hotel provides a shuttle to two key spots. Location was exactly as we had hoped...perfect! Even though so close to the city of Florence, looking out over the area resembles the more rural parts of Tuscany.
We relied upon GPS to get to the hotel, that didn't work too well, as the road that GPS wanted us to take fairly close to the hotel was closed, so we circled thru very narrow and stone-walled roads several times, eventually pulled over and called the hotel for better directions, I believe it was Cindy who answered, she was superb & calming, and got us to the hotel...we were coming from the south, if we came from the north it would not have been a problem, so a suggestion is providing detailed and good directions to avoid ZTLs and make arrival a much easier process than what we experienced.
Beautiful setting.
Single bed a bit small. The shuttle doesn’t run for 3 hours mid day (1-4) and after 8:00 pm. Other times it was very useful.
Excellently restored historical site. I particularly loved the garden and the elevator
There is not pool, which would be useful in summer
The best hotel i stayed in at italy. Impeccable food, servvice, art and nature!
I loved everything
Location was tranquil , with beautiful views. Grounds were very pretty and well kept. All the staff we interacted with were excellent. The included breakfast was wonderful and the meal we had at the restaurant in the evening also very good. Florence was just short taxi or shuttle ride away.
Breakfast was incredible! Dinner was also lovely and the grounds around the hotel are beautiful
Shower was a little small, outdated.
Absolutely gorgeous facilities, pleasant staff who cater to your every need, very accommodating.
Not close to the city and most take the their shuttle service into town. Shuttle service does not run all the time. Has a long break at midday. You must call them for pick up (not WhatApp), which is a bit inconvenient.
Amazing views. The villa is up in the hills about 15 minutes from the city, but free shuttle service helped save money on taxis. Free breakfast was nice. Very comfortable lounges to relax in.
Room was a little small for the price.
beautiful grounds, helpful staff, spectacular accommodations, awesome onsite food and service
we were totally satisfied
Stunning villa on a lot of acreage with tons of olive trees and an incredible garden. Such a magical place. We booked for our engagement trip and it was absolutely perfect. Great breakfast outside, great dinner, comfiest bed and nice and quiet rooms. As always, it’s Florence in the summer time so be sure to bring mosquito repellant. The staff was very friendly and the shuttle into Firenze saved us the stress of driving.
Nothing about the villa, but if you are driving, maps may have you go through a ZLT area. The receptionist told us the ones outside of the city center are restrictions for older cars, and if you have a newer car you should be fine. But just double check with them cause we were driving for ages trying to find a path that didn’t go through one but to no avail.
Stunning location - lots of outside seating space to enjoy the beautiful gardens
USB charging options & overall electrical outlets could be better. - hairdryer stopped working.
Beautiful landscaping, wonderful breakfast with a variety of hot and cold items, staff was exceptional, friendly and willing to help recommending and arranging restaurants and places of interest. Would love to stay here again!
We wouldn’t change a thing about the property!
Stunning gardens. Outside eating area. The staff were professional and super helpful. Constant shuttles into the city makes it easy to visit without the extra burden of having a car, traffic, parking.
Nothing. It was perfect
