The One Firenze

There is an airconditioner that makes us comfortable during summer. Summer in florence is very hot. It is near the bus stops, gelateria, and tabacchi.

Rooms were spacious. And they cleaned up and gave new towels everyday.

The tea kettle did not work; watery shampoo/body wash. And don’t be surprised to see cockroaches in the bathroom.

The location is good, if you don't mind a 10-minute walk to the historical city centre, and the proximity to the central train station is important. It is not too crowded, and it has shops and restaurants nearby meant for the locals.

The room needs a serious renovation. The wallpaper is detached from the walls, the skirting is partly broken off, and things that should be screwed to the bathroom walls are barely holding in place. The view from the room is directly into other rooms' windows through an alley filled with air conditioner compressors, with one such compressor directly under the room's window.The room surfaces were extremely dusty, and the room was not equipped with blankets. As there is no reception during the late hours to ask for assistance, we ended up using sheets and towels as improvised blankets.

Very good location near the central train station, and a good bar under the palace, extremely good value for price.

The structure was a little bit rough, and the access to the palace is not very inviting, but overall, extremely good value for price.

Very hard too find. Had to go up two flights of stairs with luggage. Rooms need updating. Wallpaper peeling off in several areas. Small shower and shower assembly fell apart. Fridge not working.

10 mins walking from main station. 2 mins walk to river and if u followed it for 10 mins you were well located for the centre of Florence

Very difficult to find the actual hotel. Google maps took you to outside the building, more or less, but to find the sign that said The One Firenze … ?. Even the restaurant directly below it and the car hire office next door didn’t know where it was ?‍♀️. We eventually doorbelled The Borge and were given access. Once in the main recessed door we were into a dingy hallway, up one flight of dark cement staircase to first floor to an iron door which you used the code to enter. Into an equally unappealing area and IF you shouted HELLO you eventually located a drab desk and reception. The young lady there was very helpful and courteous. We were delighted to eventually be IN !!.

Location.

Rooms very in very rough shape. Could barely open the bathroom door. Toilet wasn't fixed to the floor.

The only thing we liked was the location.

That the isolation of the windows was bad, we couldn’t sleep until 02:00 because there was a loot of noise that came from the bar/street outside.

Booked 2 rooms … one was ok. Clean but lamp not working hairdryer not working… Second room had dangerous electrical sockets… No shower curtain on the rail … side lights flickering … the entrance was hard to find… the hallway and stairs were very uninviting and a huge put off … The hallway carpet at the room entrance was very frayed and a trip hazard ….

The room was extremely clean and the bed is very, very comfortable !The location is great, walking distance from the main rail station and the city center!

Convenient location. Not far from the train station and walking distance to the center.

The wifi was lacking at best and we needed to work from the hotel. There was no strong signal in our room. However, a cafe just outside had wifi that we could find from the room and saved the day! (WIFI GAMBERINI ;) )

Really comfortable bed, really lovely pillows, plenty of hot water for a shower at all times. Clean room . Great location .

Internet and TV was a bit disappointing at times
