Hotel Margaret

Excellent location and very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and spacious. The air conditioning worked very well during the hot days of my stay.

The walls are a bit thin, so you could hear people from neighbouring rooms, but it was not anything terrible.

We stayed due to its proximity to the train station, and it was the best choice. We were greeted warmly, and the location was perfect! We were also right in front of the oldest pharmacy in Florence, and it was a perfect end to our trip! Our room had a separate bathroom apart from the room which I appreciate because some of the rooms have it as a part of the room, so check carefully! We were greeted with a complimentary water, and indoor shoes (slippers).

The only negative (barely a negative) was the toilet made a funny noise when flushing.

The location was good, very close to the center and train station.

Our room was facing the road and it was very noisy all night long. I would stay there again but would make sure l have a different room.

Easy to make a reservation, good location if coming from the airport or train and near the main tourist sights

Availability of warm water in the shower was dependent upon whether or not another guest had recently used it. Space between toilet seat and wall was fine for anyone under 5'9 inches.

It's not the most modern hotel in the world, but the location is great, the staff was very friendly, everything was very clean and it was a great value for money. It's only a few minutes was from the city center and Santa Maria Novella train station. There are some good bars and restaurants in the street.

I would have preferred standard cotton towels in the bathroom.

The host was very nice and even offered to help bring luggage down. Room was clean and dark and quiet and comfortable. We would have stayed longer if available.

The place is really comfortable and clean, and really close to the train station, which is great ✨ The host is really friendly and helpful too, would totally stay here again.

Loved the location and kind staff. They were extremely helpful including with suggestions of where to eat, what to do with the limited time I had. I was actually in town to visit a friend, so I really wasn't doing tourist activities. It is about 6 min walking from the train station which was very convenient for me. Breakfast wasn't an option, but there were cafes within meters of the hotel you could grab breakfast for 7-10€. I loved the hospitality more than anything

Great location within the historic Center, close to the train station, the Duomo and other main sites, with plenty of restaurants and bars very close by.Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The host is very friendly and the location of the hotel is fantastic!

The bathroom was very small, and the toilet was very loud. We had a balcony, but it was a shared balcony with another room, so we couldn’t leave the doors open at night.

Lovely, comfortable and clean room. Very welcoming staff who waited to check me in after my late flight. Excellent value for money and brilliantly located.

Lose to central district

Hallways and rooms were quite dark. Room is very dated.

The hotel was very close to the train station and in a great location, just off Piazza Santa Maria Novella. and seeing the church there was one of my favorites during our trip. The host was very nice and speaks a little broken English if your Italian is not very good and that is helpful. The room was adequate with two twin beds and a private bathroom. We were there the beginning of June and it was hot. There was an air conditioner over the door and it worked somewhat. There is a small balcony and it was nice to be able to open the doors and step outside if we wanted. Overall, it was a fair room in a great location.

Florence is hot and humid in the summer months and a little more air conditioning for sleeping would be nice, but I understand this is an older building and may not be able to be set up for this.

The location. That is pretty much what we liked there, also the staff made our check in and check out easy. They also have air conditioning in the room, that's positive.

The hotel is really dark, the shower box is really small, no elevator for guests so you gotta go up the stairs with the luggage.

the only rough part is not having elevators, but everything, from the staff members to the room, view and everything is phenomenal! you are only 5 minutes walk from the main station and next to great restaurants and to the main squares

The lack of elevator, it was rough getting quite few pieces of bags alone with a 7 year old kid , even though the staff offered help. But seriously this is NOT deal breaker

The staff were excellent. Forgot was a shared bathroom, even though you have own shower, but wasn't a problem.Staff really friendly and helpful. It's a great location and they looked after our bags all day after check out. We had fabulous day in Florence then went and picked up bags and a 5 min walk to train station and on to Naples

Great value for money, super close to the train station. Walking to all attractions take about 10 mins or less. Staffs is great with hospitality. Will stay here again next time in Florence.

Perfect location in the centre of Firenze, near the railway. Most of sightseeing places in walking distance. The staff warm, welcoming and very helpful to meet any needs. I would stay again happily!

I would prefer better, absorbing towels than the offered cotton- linen ones. There are not adequate electricity plugs in the room.

Our first impression of Hotel Margaret was how close it was to the centre of the city. We arrived to Florence by train and it was 5 minutes away from the train station and just a brisk 10 minute walk to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. The hotel was very easy to find and access, it was clean and it had beautiful vintage decorations. The host was exceptionally kind and helpful! When we checked out we left our luggage at the property and explored Firenze until the evening, the host gave us a key to retrieve the luggage and we were even able to access the bathroom then. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy place in Firenze :)
