Pros +
- The hotel is centrally located. The staff are VERY friendly and helpful. They are more than happy to enthusiastically share recommendations on places to go. Staff here is great! The staff went way out of their way to help with a oddball request we had.
- The staff accommodated moving us to a different room, for an additional fee.
- It was clean and modern. The staff was friendly checking in and very accommodating to get a taxi so early in the morning we had to leave the hotel at 3:45 am.
Cons -
- Being next to the street, it's fairly noisy at times late at night and sometimes early morning.
- The original room that was given to us was a tiny closet that was very unmaintained and the A/C did not work at all. Overall, the hotel is rundown and is decorated in a cobbled together structural items and furniture.
- the hotel did not place us in the room we paid for. we paid for a standard with breakfast included and we?re put in an economy room and had to pay for breakfast.

We didn¿t realize it was 10/15 minutes to the airport. I thought it was right before the airport. It was a 30 Euro cab ride
We loved the location, it was within a few minutes walking distance to many major attractions. Lots of interesting shops and restaurants in the area. Our room was very spacious and had a massive shower stall. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff.
Wish they had an elevator
Hotel is in a great location and has a nice historic feel.
Be aware that there is a charge to use the pool. The breakfast area wasn¿t as clean as I would have liked. We had a poor experience where we had to stay in a different room in a random building about a block away our first night. That room was only OK.
Great location, AC, and an elevator. Staff was friendly.
We were moved to a ¿newer¿ hotel. No pool and unable to access the rooftop. Called for service after hours and no one answered.
The location is excellent. And is well within walking distance for all major sights.
The stairs are carpeted which helps to too the noise level down, but they are tough to keep clean.
Breakfast was good and front desk staff was nice.
This hotel is just 2star hotel at most. The room condition is terrible, the washroom is so small with terrible conditions. There is no elevator in this hotel. If you bring heavy luggage, you'd better skip it.Parking is another issue, it takes 15mins to reach
The location was great. In the heart of Florence close to everything. The staff was very helpful and breakfast was good.
The room was average for the price. It was pretty expensive and I expected something a bit nicer. They was no elevator and it felt a bit like a maze to get back to our room.
When we arrived to Hotel Ginori, in Florence, we were told by the reception person that our reserved and prepaid room was not available and we were transferred to a different hotel, called hotel California, located in a different area in Florence. By foot
We got a different hotel than the one we booked for. We were very disappointed with this arrangement that has spoiled our visit to the city of Florence, lots of problems with getting a decent WiFi service
The location is wonderful. The street is fairly quiet and close to many points of interest. The staff was very helpful and we loved having breakfast till 11a daily.
Our room (#10) was on the ground floor DIRECTLY next to the breakfast buffet and tables. We couldn't open our main windows or curtains because there were people sitting inches away. The high windows were left open by cleaning staff and let mosquitoes in.
The location is ideal: safe, central to everything, and near several convenient stores and good restaurants.
There is no elevator. There is no ability to control room temperature, so it was very cold. The bathroom was small and there is nowhere to set out toiletries. This hotel is overrated by two stars.
The staff was incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and professional.
They would not turn off the air conditioning in my room despite the indoor and outdoor temperatures. I froze for three days (and I am not a cold person). Had I not prepaid, I would have checked out to go elsewhere.
Cute room! Clean. Close to attractions but not right in the tourist trap. Very friendly staff! Powerful AC! Thank goodness.
Private bathroom separate from bedroom- Ok. However, no guaranteed privacy or security as it was just a latch not a locking door. The door locks throughout building we are simply challenging. I understand the charm of skeleton keys- but LOUD. Thin
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Room was small but they have larger rooms on the new wing.
We had a delightful stay at Hotel Ginori Al Duomo. The hotel has been renovated and our room was very nice with antique furnishings and wood beams. The breakfast buffet was great for starting a day of sightseeing. The location was convenient also.
There is no elevator but a porter brings your bags upstairs for you. We did not mind the stairs but it would not be for some people.
Location
The location of the allotted room. It was next to the restaurant and lobby and you could hear noice from outside.
Good hotel in good location in Florence. Close to train station and Duomo. Quiet - didn't hear anything from our room. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was nice, but very small. Breakfast was just okay. Staff was very nice.
Shower and bathroom were quite small.
Reception staff was excellent. They made us feel welcome by being friendly and accommodating.
