Pros +
- I really loved staying at this hostel. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean, and both the bathroom and accommodation areas were spacious. The duvet was thick and comfortable, so I slept very well. Overall, it was a great experience with excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again.
- I had a great stay at Emerald Palace. The room was clean and comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day of exploring. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I also appreciated how convenient the location is to Piazza Duomo, Mercato Centrale and the train station. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay, and I would happily recommend it.
- The size, cleanliness, full of light, location and of course the staff.
Cons -
- You could occasionally hear the floor creak when walking, but it didn’t affect my stay at all.
- No free breakfast. No free towels.Put a Refrigerator on each floor.Get a Clothes washing service.
- Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The staff were rude, aggressive, and unprofessional, which made us feel very uncomfortable from the beginning. There was no safe box in the rooms, and instead the hotel forced guests to buy external locks from them at an overpriced cost. Even worse, these locks felt unsafe, as we had no way of knowing whether other people might have copies of the keys. We were basically forced into an insecure situation. The heating system was very poor, and the room was so cold that we actually got sick from the temperature. The rooms also did not include basic amenities that almost all hotels provide, such as a refrigerator or an electric kettle.Housekeeping was unacceptable: the rooms were not properly cleaned, and we were not provided with enough towels despite asking. There was no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up and down three floors by stairs every time, which was exhausting.Overall, the hotel was badly managed, uncomfortable, and far below acceptable standards. I would not recommend this place to anyone and definitely would not stay here again.

Amazing property. You can't beat the location. It is close to all of the action. The view from my room faced the church. I was awed by it all.I'm a solo female traveler and I chose the all-women quad room. I had zero problems and felt safe throughout my stay. The staff is friendly and helpful all around. They run a tight ship, keeping everything clean and ensuring all guests are respectful. I enjoyed the communal kitchen with complimentary coffee and tea plus cold storage for your stuff. It can't be beat for the price. I would stay here again!
location was perfect - close to the train station, right next to the market, then within 20 min to all the major attractions, we were the family of 4 with two girls in college, we got the 5 bed private room with the loft, perfect setting with the privacy and ample space. kitchen had the free espresso coffee that is easy to make! all were perfect! the staff was super friendly!
nothing ;)
Staff very nice, bed very comfortable, amazing location.
Nothing special
Single beds are truly great, very comfortable. You have a lot of free space in the room, and spacious lockers. The staff were amazing and truly wanted to accommodate the guests the best. The location is very central. Free coffee machine, free luggage storage etc. and good vibes in the hostel. Really good value for price.
I really enjoyed my stay at Emerald. It is well located in the center of Florence. The rooms were always clean, and the
The hostel is super clean and calm, Enis and Donald were super sweet and they made our stay really nice, I will definitely come back here again
Nothing it was an amazing experience
the room is so clean and it is very near from the center.the behavier of staff was so good.
some people made so much sound while sleeping. please cheack this.
Rooms, kitchen area, location were super comfortable. Free coffee made me happy. I loved this place. Receptionists Enis, Mateo, Donal were very kind and helpful.
Everything was great.
The staff was friendly and it was inexpensive
I am disappointed about both the place and location. There are a few things to talk about: place, location, and hostel in essence. Place: Emerald Palace is not a palace of course and it is a modest hostel! The place sounds low light/dark and you have many stairs to climb. The reception is on the second floor but you may end up on the fourth floor and each floor has a height of double normal. So be prepared to climb a mountain. The rooms come with not much comfy beds and the bathrooms doesn’t have bidet at all. Presence of many people in a room may make it not very clean but it didn’t look bad to me either. The lockers do not looks safe and the lock holes can be simply unscrewed with a normal screwdriver. I didn’t feel safe about my stuff at all and took it out with myself. Location: absolutely chaotic. My room was facing the cathedral and the hostel is on a street that you have this full of street shopping that pile up their stuff from 6 in the morning. The street is busy even 3 am and it is full of noise with all the windows closed. They offered me to switch my room but i just moved out cuz I wasn’t feeling comfortable to stay anyway. Photo of street shopping is attached. Hostel: It was my first and will be my last time going to a hostel. The standard of a room will be set by the lowest person there and you never get to choose that one.
The hostel is very close to the city center, walking distance to almost all visiting spots, the room is cozy and well cleaned every day, and the staff is very friendly, helping us carry heavy luggage and letting us leave the luggage the last day after we check out. Will definitely visit next time when I visit Florence:)
There’s always someone snoring very loudly in the night, it’s hard to sleep well, but it’s not the problem with the property
The location was perfect for a first time visitor to Florence! A short walk from the train station and right next to famous landmarks, bars and restaurants! Room was spacious and bathroom was especially spacious in my room. Staff were lovely! The communal spaces were perfect.
Not a lot of privacy in the four person dorm because the beds are closely positioned and no way to add curtains.
Location, price and staff
The bed could be better.
Excellent location, very clean and the staff is extremely kind and friendly and helpful. Beautiful outdoor patio. Free high quality coffee. Large bathrooms. I would definitely stay here again!
The location is right in the heart of the historic center, walkable to all attractions. The flight of stairs to the room feels like a prequel to climbing the Duomo or Giotto’s Tower. The staff were great, and the free coffee is a bonus point!
It was centrally located near all main attractions, most of them walking distance.
It is in the middle of a high traffic area, and obviously, it is a hostel so you never know what roommates you may get.
It is really very good situated, you can’t be better served in Florence, the staff was to kind and friendly to, and the view from the room was just magnificent. As italians say Noce Commente.
