Hotel Stern - Self Check-In

Quaint hotel with an extremely friendly staff.

The location was perfect it was clean and the stuff was perfect

There is a lot of stairs I will appreciate an elevator and also the shower was leaking

Good value for money, close toTram which takes you in 8 mins to hbf. Easy self check in and friendly staff

No lift

The location's great. Affordable. Bus and tram stations are close, and lots of stores are around. Easy to find and check in. Spacious and clean. Good enough for short trips. I'd come again.

It was super noisy. You could hear the tram while sleeping, but it wasn't a huge deal for me. Every time someone used the front door, the whole place would echo and get loud. Our room was right by the reception, so when people talked, it was loud and I couldn't sleep. This woke me up at 6 am, and I couldn't get back to sleep because of the talking voices. I think they should change the door so it can cover up the noise. That was the biggest issue for me.

They made a great use of the space. The bathroom was beautiful and the heater made everything cozy.

1. they said we can leave our luggages at the hotel before check in but when we got there no one let us in... 2. our room was not cleaned when we got there again at 1 pm. We had to wait like 30-40 mins for it to be cleaned...3. the room looked quite old, the furnitures were outdated but the bed and pillows were comfortable

All clean and renewed. Great value for money. Couple of metres from public transportation. You can have food and drinks around. They are also problem solver. I escalated a small issue on my bathroom sink and when returned from a quick coffee it was already solved.

No elevator, but this was mentioned in the add, so no surprises.

Location is really nice - nearby to Christmas Market and city center - so quiet you can sleep well - and good value for short stay

Really nice room, comfy bed and pretty quiet (you could hear the tram but it wasn't annoying to me), the self check in system was very easy and convenient. Tram and metro stops nearby made it easy to travel around, from and to the hotel.

The shower stand was a bit broken (but it worked)

East contactless check in, clean and comfortableRoom . 10 min bus/tram ride from hbf. Great value for money . Great WiFi

Bed was a little bit uncomfortable

It’s convenient and enough for short stay. It was easy to do self-check-in.

The room is rather small for long stay, still already knew that before going.

Good value for money. the room is basic but it has all what I needed to spend a comfortable night. The location is pretty good and it's very clean too

I paid as soon as I arrived, but when I checked out, the receptionist immediately said, “YOU HAVE TO PAY!”, which came across as a bit accusatory and not expressed in the best way. I replied, “I already paid yesterday,” but she insisted, “NO, YOU DIDN’T PAY,” until I kindly asked her to call her colleague to confirm. I think she probably forgot to record it in the system or something like that. In any case, she should have confirmed before making such a statement, I found it a bit rude.Overall, the stay was fine, but please pay more attention to how you communicate with guests, and try not to be so German.

The Rooms are spacious. Transport on your doorstep.The person we dealt with all week was very pleasant and couldnt do enough for us. We really appreciated it.Breakfast was filling and plenty full.Good spot. A handful of stops for the Dusseldorf HBF.Plenty of shops and food places near by.Safe area.

breakfast was very good, location was good for me, nice neighbourhood , close to centre and exhibition centre (at leats with the good public transport nearby) and 15 mins to airport and central station
