Air Hotel Wartburg

As I was visiting BOOT Dusseldorf, and flying in for a short stop, the hotel was ideally placed to enable me to walk from the airport and to the show venue.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Location

When arrived to hotel, I got room which I did not book, more exactly-room last renovated like 40 years ago. When asked on reception what is happening they said that I got an upgrade since I booked single bed and now I have double bad. Unbeliavable, I said that I don't want to stay and would like refund since this is not what I booked but they rejected without wanting to give me another room with claim that they are fully booked. After some arguments they "found" much better room(still not how looks on pictures)

It's only a 20 minute walk from the airport, but at the same time, the location is residential without the "airport feeling". Price is also decent.

Walls and doors are paper-thin, and you can hear absolutely everything that's going on in the hall and in other rooms. Breakfast is decent, but it definitely leaves room for improvement.

Nice walking distance to boot Düsseldorf

No coffee in the rooms. Cold rooms. Basic facilities.

Convenient to the Boat Show. Simple but very clean & an excellent continental breakfast. Staff good too & spoke English

No kettle in the room

The room was clean, and the toilet facilities were clean. The hotel has good facilities and is well-positioned for the exhibition centre, with very helpful staff. Good connections to the airport and easy connection to the town centre, the tram is a short walk away U79.

Took a while for the hotwater to come through for washing and a shower. small tv for a big room no coffee or tea making facitites in the room

Proximity to venue

Not too many options for evenings, had to travel into town centre. Should look at revising breakfasts as not many options

What is showing on pictures not the same 100% different nosey please have on bar the shower please broken rooms to small and atik room or underground room, breakfast only have yogurt and milk some bread.

This wasting money to use this air hotel wartburg and expensive.

To be honest I did like anything about the property. There was smell of aviation fuel in the room. And as we were cycling, with our blind friends. I got double charged for the rooms. I’m very disappointed in Booking.com

The smell in the rooms, breakfast was poor. You sent me message saying, I needed to finish booking, when I already had , as result I double booked. I tried to cancel. This has been a bad experience, especially with my blind friends

My return flight to London was cancelled late evening & Hotel were able to let me come back for another night, before I flew ojut the folloing morning

The reception staff is very friendly. He provided me with good direction of where to go for meals and what to do around the area. He also quickly recognised me and provided the room key to me daily almost without asking. Hotel is close to a park and enable me to do a jogging. Room is cleaned daily. In contrast i heard an international chain at the airport does not clean daily.

The bed is quite hard. There is not enough pillows provided in the room. No air-con nor fan nor slippers. Having these will make the stay more comfortable, especially when you are a simple local hotel.

I think location is great. Close to Messe and airport. Also you can find a few restaurants closely to have a dinner.

Beds were not the best and the strange smell in the room.

Sound of Airplanes overhead landing. But it's near the airport. What did I expect.

Location to Airport and Stadium, staff very friendly and Spoke English. Very helpful

The hotel is in a nice neighborhood. It was clean and the staff was helpful. Was very fun watching planes that close

The hotel is close enough to the airport but the transportation is not very easy. It is also far from the center. The hotel should either have a lunch option or more products in the vending machine. We didn’t had enough time to go to a restaurant and ended up having some snacks that were not very healthy

Close to the airport, very friendly and available staff. Single rooms are tiny but equipped with the essentials, clean and ok for a one night stay.

The smell of mould in the single rooms, as they are located under the ground floor and opening the window is not an option as you'd have people walking by in the parking lot that could see you.

Perfect location for the Arena. Walking distance so could walk back after concert. Super clean, comfortable beds. Big super clean bathroom. Good breakfast, plenty choice- but not for coffee drinkers!

Not hotel's fault but we were there in a heatwave. No fans at all. Rooms should have fans. Coffee at breakfast was poor.

Staff - people at the registration deck, cleaners, restaurant workers at breakfast - very friendly and nice. Amazing location, not so far from Merkur-Spiel Arena, as well as from Dusseldorf airport. Calm cozy place to rest.

In my room door to the bathroom did not close - would be nice to fix that.
