    Pros +

    • only coffee maker was of good quality.
    • Price.
    • Well connected location, quiet surroundings, good shower, comfortable clean double bed, staff are good. Excellent value for money.

    Cons -

    • Place was too small and the bed was really uncomfortable. Bathroom was too small to fit in luckily I have reduced 6 KG else I would not fit in. check inn was too trouble some infact the host was not able to remember the passkey and it took more than an hour to check inn in night time. no tissue paper in wash room we purchased the same. shower broken, the bed was broken from middle and really uncomfortable. used cleaning cloth kept under the mattress. I really got back ache in four nights of stay here.
    • Valemi Stay has a lot of potential to be a nice place, but I will never stay there again. The room was dirty, namely the carpets were dirty. The carpets had not been vacuumed and they were covered with stains. The carpets in the hallways were dirty also. Otherwise, this place was not too bad. The carpets were just gross. If the property would just clean (vacuum and shampoo) the carpets, then this place would be a great value for the money. Also, the AC did not work well. The refrigerator did not work. And the safe was absent in one room, and was inoperable in the other.
    • There was nothing disappointing.

We had a spacious, warm apartment! The location is close to transportation. We received the necessary support throughout our stay.

Room is relatively bigNear s-Bahn station Reception woman is very nice.

There is an army of cockroaches in the room! I have seen around 15 of insects! I suspect that this is the fault of those who live in the hotel, not the owner of the hotel, but the problem exists and something needs to be done about it immediately. The shower mixer was broken. The windows are of bad quality, so you can hear a lot of noise. If you live here, you need to clean it yourself, because they don't clean the room; for 4 days no one cleaned my room or changed towels, etc. Reception is closed at 21.

The room was very cool and spacious. The hotel's area is not magnificent but it is very comfortable, close to Bus, S-bahn and Tram stop.

unfortunately there weren't helpful things like cutlery or broom.

The furniture of the room and the bathroom were modern and good. Coffee machine in the room.Comfortable bed and nice lighting.

It was really difficult to arrange how to enter the building. Often the front door to the building was locked and could not be opened with the key card. Instead had to find another unlocked entrance on the backside. Risk to be locked out.The air condition did not work very well the hours when you more wanted it, which in my case was in the afternoon and night. In the morning when the outside temperature dropped, so did the temperature from the air condition. Was a bit difficult to reach the staff and get assistance. No staff in place!

The location was good. The manager was responsive on whatsapp

There were many cockroaches. There was never staff on duty. The building felt like an empty shell, which was creepy.

It was located right next to a train station which made traveling very easy and accessible!

Contacting and communicating with the owner was very difficult throughout the entire process. When we arrived there was no toilet paper, and when we contacted the owner she said we would have to wait until the next day for her to bring some over. The description promised AC, but there was no cold air flowing, just a fan to keep the air circulating. We also selected late check-in on booking.com, only to discover she would not allow us to check in late, nor would she decrease our stay by a night to help accommodate us, so we ended up paying for 2 hotels the first night. Furthermore, when we arrived on day 2, she had left the key at the front in a cubby. We don’t understand why she could not have done the same the night before. We also were not informed that the building locks and you cannot access it without a physical key (which was not provided). When we wanted to get back into the building, we had to wait outside the door for someone inside to pass through, and then pound on it to get their attention and help. The shower head wall mount was also broken, but we were able to use it as a hand-held. Overall, the accommodations were disappointing, but it did not prohibit us from enjoying Germany! If you are looking for a cheap stay, keep some low expectations & this place will work great for you :)

    Rooms were clean and nice

Check in was difficult , door was closed

    6KetcherPosted on: 7-4-2024

    Pleasant

The lack of communication. We weren’t informed about where to get the key card, or that we need to use the side entrance, or the WiFi password etc. we also ran out of toilet paper. I had to phone for each of these issues. Made the stay unpleasant

The room was good and clean, it has all required appliances for the short stay.

Be aware of the self-service concept - if you loose your key you will sleep on the street, front door opens only with the access card as well as the room door. There is no one in the whole building who can help opening the door in case something happened. Additionally you will pay 100 euros for lost key. Me and my friend had lost the key on the last night of the stay, and early morning I had a flight which I missed because no one could let us in to get the bags. Luckily we have found our key on the street after all, so got our bags and moved out. Considering that it was Sunday, which in Germany is a completely non-working day we could wait for ages as we heard from those who live there. Anyways, this was a lesson learned for us, only us to blame, but I'd like to warn those who are planning this stay to be very cautious with your key, or choose the hotel with 24/7 service :)

The "hotel" is in a great location, within walking distance of many of the landmarks to see in Düsseldorf, and with an S-Bahn stop 1 walking minute away that takes you to the city's central station. The room we stayed in was spacious and the surroundings were quiet. You could hear people out in the hallway, but not much else. The shower had good pressure and was very responsive to temperature adjustments.

I've never been so scared of having fallen for a scam in my life. When we got to the address the hotel was at, the markings outside the building were of a Holiday Inn. Absolutely nowhere outside the building or in the lobby, were the words "Valemi Stay" written.More, the lobby is completely barren. It genuinely looks like a hotel used to exist at this location, but it had been abandoned in some sort of post-apocalyptic scenario. The computer screens were at the lobby desk, but no one was behind the desk, and the screens were off. There were slots for pamphlets, completely emptied out. There was a dead silence. It was only after I messaged the "hotel" (via whatsapp, where they messaged me first actually, which I did not consent to), that I got the information that someone was on their way to check us in.Long story short, someone who could perfectly have been just another hotel guest came, took a picture of my ID, gave us a card and told us to leave it in the room when we left. She also told, upon my asking, that this did in fact use to be a Holiday Inn, which her employer bought and had converted to a "AirBnb style", whatever that means. The room itself was just a normal Holiday Inn room, albeit quite dusty and notoriously not as well cleaned. I found it quite funny that as I was exploring the room I even found some Holiday Inn stuff IN the room. In fact, the only mention of "Valemi Stay" that we found was on the room's keycard, and on some random sugar packets we found in the room.We found some silverbugs in our rooms. Not a big deal but not great. Lastly, the price hike caused by the Euro cup happening made this room stupidly expensive. I would never in normal conditions have been okay with paying 200€ a night for this room.

Former hotel which appears to be currently used to house refugees

Being told after I’d left that I should have left the key card in the room and it would cost 100 Euros to replace. No instructions that it should have been left in the room and I didn’t think it safe to leave at the unmanned reception

    Worst experiences ever

Worst experiences ever. There is no receptionist. I didn't know how to get into the hotel. I kept waiting from 3:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. until the resident came to open the door for me. I used an Uber driver to help me get in, and my brother asked the resident to let me in after five hours of waiting. The employee communicates with me via WhatsApp in an unprofessional and somewhat rude manner.

Clean and good location. Near a S-Bahn-Station and Busstop to reach any point of Düsseldorf and surrounding cities

No staff on site, no receptionist. Main entrance locked most of the time. Former hotel (now mainly used by refugees from Ukraine. Loud partying going on.
