Pros +
- The location
- The staff were extremely nice and helpful. I don’t think that I’ve ever met a nicer staff. The room was nice, only the kitchenette is quite small, but that’s obviously because it’s a hotel room. Bed is comfortable, you sleep like a baby.
- The hotel is close to every transportation. There are cafes and restaurants nearby at a walking distance. The room itself was amazing, the bathroom was big enough and it was equipped with a sink, fridge, cooking appliances and even a microwave. The room had also so much space.
Cons -
- Small room
- We arrived at midnight, however there was no one at the reception. We tried ringing the bell but no one came. We contacted the hotel and they were also not able to reach out to the receptionist. He was supposedly doing a night walk around the building, which is understandable. Luckily, some people got back to the hotel from carnival and we were able to wait in the warmth. This is no critic to the receptionist since they weren't aware of our arrival ( we couldn't put arrival times due to how unreliable transport can be). However, the hotel should consider having at least two receptionists in such cases and have someone on standby.
- An absolute lack of service. I stayed for 5 nights- room was cleaned once. I had to ask for fresh towels. No milk in fridge. Very basic supplies. I was locked out of my room on the second night on purpose without notice ! When I went to reception it was unattended. 15 minutes later someone finally came and said that was because I owed the city tax which they hadn’t charged when I paid on arrival. ( they had all my details and my credit card details- this was an oversight on their part on check in). I cannot believe they locked me out instead of calling or emailing or putting a note in my room when I was still there for several nights.

It was one of the most surprising hotels I’ve been to. Beginning with stuff being super nice and helpful, then we found our room that looked better then on the photos. The room was clean, very big, had small kitchen and basic kitchen equipment, TV, lots of storage space, very pretty bathroom with big comfy shower and good quality hair dryer. Everything smelled super clean and nice and looked exceptional. The hotel quality made us almost stay in our room the whole day.
It was clean, bathtub was spacious. Room was quiet

The room was well equipped and cozy, with a nice view of the church across the street. The location was convenient as well, with tram and u-bahn access.
The shower drain was clogged, and the water flooded the entire bathroom in no time. We reported the issue to the hotel staff and asked for help, but nobody showed up for over 30 minutes. We cleaned the mess ourselves with some towels. The receptionist later clarified during checkout that she had relayed our complaint to housekeeping, but there was no follow up!3 days after our visit, the hotel randomly charged my credit card with 80 bucks for one night's stay, even though we had already paid upfront for our stay during booking. I called them up and reported the issue, when they denied issuing such a transaction. After I sent them a copy from my credit card statement, they checked and refunded the money back. This was shocking and unprofessional.

The hotel offers a great location and accessible parking. Additionally, the breakfast selection was consistent with the standard of the hotel.
There was a noticeable discrepancy between the high-quality marketing photos and the actual reality of the aging room decor. The rooms are in need of a modern refresh; the website photos make the space look much more updated than it is in person.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. We had a slight issue with the shower, but it was sorted in no time! Our stay was amazing! Would return to Living Hotel any day.
The worst stay in Düsseldorf....
It’s so noisy. Especially we are arranged in a room which is directly facing the stairs. Every moment you hear everyone walking around and have no sound proof of any kind. Pillows are the thinnest you can ever have, blanket too. They say mini bar is free but only provide beer and water.
location , helpfulness of staff , i wasn't feeling well & decided to stay in my room for the duration of a day , i spoke to reception about getting my room cleaned ASAP , she made a call to the cleaning team supervisor & they sent someone to my room straight away
for price i paid for breakfast didn't think it was good value so only had it one morning however my friends had it every morning
Comfortable homely hotel... friendly service by all staff... excellent house keeping staff who were extra kind when I feel ill with the flu
Leaving
Clean room and the lobby was nice. The desk was very helpfull and helped me charging my phone
We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the city center & availability of a private parking garage; both of which were satisfactory. The staff were attentive and kind. The breakfast had enough variety.
The rooms could be cleaner. There was dust and some dirty spots on surfaces. We also didn't like that there is no physical lock for the room doors.
Very large comfortable clean room and bathroom. Great view of the church from the window. Fantastic location - close to metro, supermarket, restaurants. It was a fantastic stay!
Breakfast was expensive.
Toilet was clean and didn’t leak any water on the floor
The sheets weren’t very clean, the pillows were too soft, i woke up with a stiff neck
Comfortable bed, very nice bathroom and shower. Super nice desk staff
Loud noises on the street at night. But like most big cities, and a weekend, some people just like being loud.
The room.
On November 05, 2025 at 06:45 there were no warm water at shower. Warm water was supplied only at 07:00 approximately.
