    Pros +

    • Very nice hotel, staff, building and surrounding park, breakfast. 10 Euro parking fee.
    • They have replaced the old beds.
    • The location and building are beautiful. And the personnel very friendly.

    Cons -

    • The TV sets are not up to modern standards anymore. I also wish there would be more power outlets. Ideally even USB outlets. An outlet tower on the desk would be ideal.
    • I found the room a bit warm in the evening, and fresher throughout the night. I prefer a more consistent temperature, but this wasn’t a problem.
    • No wifi, windows were screaming for some paint

No wifi, windows were screaming for some paint

It is a very old nice building in a park - it was a closter int the past. Close to tram car so you can reach Dusseldorf easy. Breakfest is perfect but a little bit expensive.

    8NormanPosted on: 11-1-2024

It’s an old building but it’s quite nice! Staff is super friendly and breakfast is nice.

Lovely quiet location - nice grounds and eexcellent reception

Nothing really - arrived by taxi and later by Tram & walk.

Great central location and short walk to all restaurants and trips into Düsseldorf with a very interesting history.

    No pool or fitness facilities.

Good breakfast. Manned front desk 24/7. Architectural design of the hotel.

No restaurant för dinner in the hotel. Slow WiFi. Although the wifi was free.

The historic building inside the church complex was mesmerising but the hotel could have been modernised more to ensure a comfortable stay for guests.

The showers are extremely small, and this is stated whilst not being an extremely big person. The shower curtains are not the best arrangement. The weird black and white portraits of children in our room was not the most decorative addition.

Very nice buliding, quiet and clean, nice staff. The room was very clean.

    9RachelPosted on: 8-3-2023

The rooms were large , beds comfortable with a really good breakfast. The bathroom was large . The property is really beautiful historic nunnery with various information about the nuns displayed. The staff spoke German English and French.

    The shower didn't drain properly.

Great Atmosphere. Beautiful Building in a quiet park. Rooms were clean and well decorated. Breakfast was very good and staff was very nice.

    No Refrigerator in the Rooms.

The building and area are very interesting and a good place to relax after a long day of exploring the city or conventions. What I love about the location is that when everyone is going to the train to get home after a convention, most go to the station but while staying here you go in the opposite direction, with almost empty trains and no stress whatsoever.

I couldn't quite figure out how the lights worked. I wanted to charge my phone overnight but there were lights in the wall that I simply couldn't turn off without shutting down the whole power. So maybe there was a switch I couldn't find or it's not thought out well. But it was more of a nightlight, so not that bad.

In short, a wonderful hotel, well-located in a very pleasant part of the city, easy to get into the centre of town too. Locally, in the Klemensplatz/Kaiserswerth area some excellent restaurants (Casa Massimo). The hotel itself was just fantastic: clean, great staff (especially Piros on the front desk), the room was amazing, nothing whatsoever to complain about and I would 100% return and advise other people to check in too. The Mutterhaus made the trip and I will be returning just as soon as I can think of a reason.

Nothing bad to report, it was all good. No complaints. I loved the breakfast, I loved the room, I loved the whole place especially the carpeted corridors (one night I nipped downstairs bare-footed to buy some mineral water so the carpets made it that little bit better. Nothing was wrong with the hotel. I'm sure if they'd had a restaurant it would have been good too.

a place with a history, stunning building, huge rooms, close to the airport and the area around the hotel is very nice, close to the river, nice restaurants, a real gem

The location was excellent for us, the hotel was quiet and the room was very spacious with plenty of storage space. The shower was good. The breakfast was good, and staff were all helpful and friendly.

We found the bed in our Historic Room a little basic, quite squeaky with a thin mattress and thin pillows. There is no bar or restaurant in the hotel, so catering apart from breakfast is very limited.

    10Mrnice75Posted on: 3-22-2023

All was good, in German style, rooms are new and big, all quiet, it is in a residential area with a big garden around the hotel

    6CarlosPosted on: 11-3-2022

Still be Mutterhaus although some changes The breakfast still good but last two days the variety of cold meats wasn't as the Mutterhaus breakfast

The access to interior of hotel. Understand is important keep the traces of the building which is wonderful, but for sure can have solutions. This time the lift doesn't work!!!
