Hotel Karel de Stoute

Location was 10min from the main centre area

We did the check in and the staff was not really friendly or helpful. The room was really noisy and not super clean. Room was overpriced considering this.

I liked the location. The street was very quiet and close to the central area. The room was large. It was hot so the fan was much appreciated. The manager was very helpful and friendly.

The property is a bit shabby looking. The front office is cluttered and unkempt. The extra dining area is a nice size but everything looks a bit tired. The kitchen area was also very messy.

Great location. Staff very friendly. Showed us many places to go.

Heating is provided by small electric device which is drying the room air and a little bit dangerous

Stairs, too many stairs and i would say could be dangerous for many elderly people.

Excellent stay at excellent location. Very quiet neighborhood and city center is reachable within 5 minutes walking distance.

The shower drain smelled a bit, probably need to fix some small plumbing things. Was not very bothersome.

No light in the shower. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. No way to dry hands in the bathroom on the ground floor. That bathroom also smelled very bad.

Really large room with adjoining bathroom. Really comfortable bed, great shower, really clean, heating provided, really great location. Great that you can leave your bag prior to check in.

This is a clean, well located, basic hotel. The room had everything we needed except a refrigerator.

The front desk is irregularly manned. They will kindly keep your luggage until check in and after check out but there is no assistance to get it up or down the stairs except during inconvenient times. Not a good hotel for anyone mobility challenged or who can't carry all of their own luggage up steep stairs.

Nice Location in the heart of the city. Close to bus stops, resturants and shops. Spacious room with nice bathroom.

Zero human interaction while checking in and out. Looks to have a resturant/breakfast buffet however it never looked open or was never explained to us.

Room interior was a bit outdated and ready for a refresh. No real breakfast options , mainly recommend to get breakfast at nearby located bakeries. No airco or elevator and total overkill on air parfumes in the hallways.

If you are visiting Bruges, Hotel Karel de Stoute is THE place! It is in a fantastic location - quiet, yet few steps from the centre. We've parked in a public carpark only few minutes walk away.Staff was excellent - knowledgeable, friendly, helpful.The whole hotel and our room were very comfortable and clean. Coffee and kettle were provided in the room as well as the softest towels! Even though this hotel doesn't offer breakfast, there is a cosy breakfast room with complimentary tea and coffee. Guests are encouraged to purchase breakfast from recommended cafés nearby, bring it back and enjoy at leasury pace back at the hotel.We were offered to leave our luggage while we explored Bruges some more after checking out.We will definitely be back!

You need to be careful on those steep carpeted steps:)Every possible negative has been managed to the best by the staff!For example: it was very hot during our stay and this hotel doesn't have air-conditioning, however, the staff provided an excellent fan in the room.There was not fridge in the room, however the staff offered the use of a big refrigerator downstairs.We felt well taken care of!
