    • Everything - the location, team, modern bathrooms, historic features and breakfast were all wonderful. A very special thank you to Lionel and the front of house team for the warm welcome, kindness and readiness to help at all times. You set an exceptional bar for customer service, one we challenge future accommodation providers to exceed.Stan (the Bernedoodle) especially sends his thanks :)If you are thinking of visiting Bruges do not hesitate to book. We loved every minute of our time in the city, made all the more special thanks to our stay at Boutique Hotel Die Swaine. Thank you x
    • The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We traveled with two dogs and there were no issues. The breakfast included was wonderful and the location was perfect. Decor was perfect for the holidays and the hotel, though old, was very charming.
    • Excellent location. Good breakfast.Very quaint and picturesque.

    Cons -

    • We do not have one bad word to say, we loved our stay at Boutique Hotel Die Swaene and very much hope to return.
    • The front desk manager on the day we were checking out told me the incorrect checkout time and seemed very upset when I requested a late checkout, which was only 30 minutes past the actual checkout time.
    • Matrassen and materass frames need a serious do over. Very worn out.

Great Central location yet very peaceful. Walkable to everywhere and right by canal. Lovely building with plush in keeping decor and furnishings and large 18th c loungr. Large and comfortable ground floor room with good shower etc. Room included safe, mini bar, kettle. All staff lovely and helpful. We borrowed chess from reception. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality with tasty omelettes. Small pool which we used daily. Private parking was the other bonus for us, though not cheap.

Our room was pink which was fun but the pale pink carpet was very impractical and had got very dirty. They'd put rugs on it but these were trip hazards and it really needed a good shampoo or replacement. The room was at street level. Very handy for the pool but you wouldn't have wanted to open the windows in summer.Lighting in lounge and room was barely bright enough to read by.

Excellent location and room. Bonus tip - do visit the first floor where Napoleon himself signed the declaration. Also super helpful staff - they sent a wine bottle to us on account of my birthday. Also the sauna and heated pool looked amazing - though I could not try it.Only downside there is no lunch or dinner restaurant available though plenty to places available nearby ... given that the location is outstanding.

Everything was excellent - only thing is a little bit more choice during breakfast and somewhat more trained staff (one who can prepare good eggs) during breakfast would be nice.

Beautiful decor. Excellent location Breakfast was very good. Make sure you ask about having the eggs made the way you want. They don’t mention that when you enter the breakfast room. I read about it in a previous review and was sure to request eggs make to order.

Water closet (toilet) was too SMALL!!! And too many doors. The shower room door and toilet area door could not be opened at the same time. Made the area very congested.

Decor, friendly and helpful staff — Maryke is fabulous — location

We had a beautiful room. It was in a perfect location with walking to the city center. Across from the canal . Lovely. Loved the honor bar. Just nice to have?

No free parking. It is fairly close by though so it worked out fine. Must pay 25 per day but maybe that’s typical.. we didn’t really mind.

This was a beautiful period property right in the centre of the old town. It was full of character and history and just delightful .

Wow - we were bowled over when we saw our room. It's beautiful. The room is large with a very large bed and beautiful furniture. Our room had a little courtyard. The bathroom is also lovely and a good size, although the shower is a little small and the toilet, which is separate from the bathroom (always useful) was quite small. It's very close to everything and is situated across from a canal. We would definitely recommend staying here.

    It is perfect.

Good size room, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, great view, excellent location, good parking, everything within short walk.

There was a noise that started early in the morning 8 -9 right over our heads that sounded like someone vacuuming on the hard floors above us. It was only in the morning . We asked and they said it wasn’t vacuuming as their cleaner hadn’t started yet. It was very annoying. Also our phone couldn’t call the main desk so we had to go there when we needed something.
