This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We booked the small double room and the room was actually quite big. The decor of the hotel was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and everything was within walking distance. We arrived by train and it was a little far to walk so we decided on an Uber to the hotel. Everything else was within walking distance that we wanted to see. Loved our stay there.
The property is beautiful, which is a 16th century house, and retains many of the original historic features such as the exposed beams and exterior facade. The interior is tastefully refurbished with marble mantlepiece and period decor. The location is fantastic, it is a short walk from the Grote Market, the city center, and also Rozenhoedkaai, a picture perfect spot overlooking the canal. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the bar was a lovely place to relax after a day of sightseeing, with a good selection of local beers and a warm fire.
We had to book breakfast the night before which we forgot to do some days. It would be nice to be able to have breakfast without pre booking.
Situated in an old manor, this historic hotel is very impressive. There is a garden with a fountain in the middle of the hotel, as well as a gym with a nice view of the garden. The location is a stone throw away from the historical center of Brygge, but a bit further away from the train station. The breakfast was delicious and there is enough variety to sate most guests.
The hotel is not very modern, so you have to switch on electricity with the room key. This means that you can't charge your devices while away from your room. The TV was tiny in our room, but it was hardly a problem for us.
Location.
Our bathroom smelled like pee, the room was dusty, the stairs were scary to climb up to the third floor, and we hit our heads on the ceiling multiple times. We booked in hopes to get one of the beautiful rooms that were on the website and we were put in the dusty attic. There was dust on the exposed beams and windows.
Great location and easy walk to everything important in Bruges. We called about the room safe not working and the owner himself came up within 2 minutes and fixed it. Great service!
The public parking near the hotel was very busy and full when we arrived at 7:00 pm on a Friday. This is not the hotels fault, but just a caution message for any travelers who arrive after 5:00 pm on a weekend.
Room was nice, bathroom was very large and breakfast was onderful. Bike rental was easy and staff very accommodating.
I would like more facts about the facility.

Everything. It was such a cool loft room, lots of space, comfortable bed, great location, tub, shower, great value for money...wonderful. Great house keeping that cleaned the room when we slept in very late.
The TV, I know it's a bit silly, but they had an internet cable that cut out every couple minutes. But its reaching to say anything negative, it was a great place, would absolutely stay again.
The location is ok.
The front desk staff seemed uninvolved and provided only the bare minimum of information, which made everything quite confusing. When I mentioned that the elevator wasn’t working, a staff member said I probably hadn’t read the instructions, but it truly wasn’t working. We had two rooms: one had a garbage bin still full of trash from previous guests, and the other had dried urine drops on the toilet seat. The breakfast was fine but very basic, and some items weren’t refilled, so if you come later, there’s not much left. No bottled water was provided in the rooms.
Good location and excellent breakfast
Room was small and some difficulty with the lift.
Nice spacious room. Lounges were nice, as well as center courtyard. Also very close to old town.
Charming lodging in a charming town. Great location. Close enough but out of the tourist noise. Really nice outdoor sitting for a picnic lunch.
Great location and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. We used the hotel parking, so we arrived before check-in time to make use of the parking and have more time to look around Bruges. On arrival the member of staff said our room was ready, so we were able to check-in early, which was great.Brilliant family room
The room was very comfortable and clean.
The clerk that checked us in did a bare minimum of service. He processed our reservation and gave us our key with the room number. The next morning while we were waiting for friends to come down, someone was checking in. The clerk took there suitcase and took them to there room.
We stayed in the Junior suite and it was roomy. Comfortable in the bed was fabulous. We would easily stay here again the next time we come. It's quiet, it's very close to downtown. Everything is just a short walk away. We love the city and the staff was very helpful.
Beautiful heritage surroundings, marvelous garden, breakfast space is gorgeous, sauna and steam room available. The room was quite big and very charming with the exposed beams. Great clean bathroom with high-end toiletries made for a lovely bath time. Perfect location, 2-3 min away from everything, boat station, grand place, restaurants, rosary quay..Very good breakfast
We could hear the neighbors speaking, but that s an old restored building so we didn’t mind the lack of soundproofing. We loved it as it was.
Beauitiful grand hotel in old town Brugge, luxurious room, lovely grounds in private garden, excellent staff. I recommend Jan Brito for your visit to Brugge.
