We were fortunate to be upgraded from the Dukes Palace Residence to the main hotel. The room was quiet and very comfortable and the lounge bar had a lovely atmosphere.
The only modest complaint was a shower over the bath, which is challenging to enter and exit!
Location and everything about this hotel is amazing. We have stayed here many times and every time staff couldn't be more helpful. The hotel is clean and set in beautiful settings. Couldn't ask for more.

Excellent location

The location and appearance of the the hotel were very high quality. The fitting within the rooms.
The room in which we stayed had faulty air conditioning, was extremely hot due to hot water pipes routed through the floor. Very uncomfortable temp was over 25 degrees all night . We could not resolve this at nighttime and had to have the doors and windows open. Extremely disappointed. We reported this to reception who offered us another room the next day via a note, however we only arrived back to the room at 23:00 on our second and last evening so did not accept as the air conditioning had been fixed and was now working. The note did not acknowledge the fact that the aircon had been the issue. This was extremely disappointing as my self and my partner slept very poorly on the first night. I mentioned this on checkout for which we received a polite apology. Unfortunately it’s left us feeling this wasn’t an appropriate and fair response.
Beautiful and quaint Hotel in close proximity to the old district and markets! Rooms gorgeous and spacious!Staff friendly and helpful!
Christmas dinner - the atmosphere in the restaurant was not Christmassy enough. Yet, the dinner was very expensive. The food was marvelous though!
Great staff. Good location. Good breakfasts
Partly booked it because of the bar - wanted somewhere to pop into. Only to be told it was shut on 31st and 1st...2 of our 3 days! Had a drink on arrival ( 30th) possibly the grumpiest bar man ever come across!! Charged us 8€ for small bottle of water we hadn't asked for - assumed it was comp as he brought it over with our cocktails!! But no....
The staff were so friendly and could not do enough for us. The property was peaceful, luxurious, and incredibly clean. The rooms in the Residence were stunning and a very welcome retreat after our busy days exploring the Christmas markets and the galleries/cathedral and many eateries. The food at the hotel was amazing too-the breakfast buffet is the best we've had. The bar area staff at the hotel offered 5 star service and we couldn't fault it. Our stay at Dukes made our visit to Bruges very special and we'll be back again soon.
Nothing! It was all wonderful
Was a good location.
Pungent smell throughout property like sewage. Made it difficult to sleep and even breathe through it. Would smell in the toilet too despite paying so much for room. Understand it’s part of Bruges but was very unexpected and frankly disgusting. The room was ok - not value for money. No slippers, bathrobes etc. not enough toiletries (stingy in amount). Ventilation was poor in night…no room service
The room was nice. The dukes hotels are the only place we stay in Bruges. The palace and the arches the past twice were amazing but the residence was not for us.
The place is made of paper. You can hear everything in the courtyard we had someone upstairs and we could hear the tv and their conversations. The cleaning staff were going around the day of check out at 8:30/9 am and again nothing but noise.
I really liked the hotel! Beauty, coziness, attentive staff, comfort, cleaning. Everything about the price!
Location, room size, cleanliness, helpful team.
We had a small issue, but was sorted immediately by the reception team who were very helpful.
The Hotel is beautiful. The staff are amazing, very professional and friendly. The location is excellent too. Exceptionally clean, comfortable rooms. Breakfast was excellent. Parking is great too. Can’t fault the hotel.
Nothing !! I would have liked a kettle in the room instead of a coffee machine, that’s it!
The location was very central but tucked away from any main streets. The staff were super helpful - as soon as we parked, someone helped with the luggage and they were all very helpful and friendly. The decor was beautiful and the room were a fantastic size, extremely clean and had great facilities.
Honestly nothing. We would stay again without hesitation so I can’t think of any negatives.
Very well appointed, clean and tidy in a good location.
