- The location was lovely - peaceful and quiet as it was set off the road and by the golf course and woods. The bed was large so a great nights sleep
- Very impressed with the lodge very comfortable and stylish,
- Our second visit, has declined since our first stay 2 years ago. Cleaning was not as great as previous experience. Did not seem hoovered in lodge. Staff not as friendly as previous experience, on last visit we could lounge all day in the spa room with tea coffee, sofa etc. this time we were not allowed. A bit disappointed as we had returned due to enjoying the room last time. Facilities ready for a lick of paint and spring clean, mould and stains beginning to develop. Having said that, we would stay again, we think its a lovely place with good value, lovely to have a lodge instead of a boring hotel room. However it was more underwhelming than our stay 2 years ago when everything was top notch, no faults.
Cons -
- The hot buffet breakfast had been sat in the hot containers for a while, although they were replenished it was not the same as having it cooked to order.
- The TV, cable TV bit old hat now
