Location
Dirty room (stains on the walls) Mattress really sagging and uncomfortable, bedside lights broken/ripped off. But staff were lovely and super helpful !
Bad
No parking, any parking that is available, if the small car park is full, is on street only. Details of facilities does not highlight that there are severe parking restrictions between 7.30-9 and 5pm-10pm. I travelled 7 hours to then have to drive round for 45 mins to find parking. Didn’t stay in the end and had to book somewhere else. Get you details correct and inform people of the severe parking restrictions.
Liked all of it. Really just couple little niggles but nothing major. Perfect for us visiting the freeman hospital great location. Staff spot on and really good with instructions and directions to sister hotel. Really good value fir money
Too hot on entry and corridors. Needed extra pillows ( could have asked but no one in the reception in the sister hotel. WiFi wouldn't connect( nothing major used 5g). Poor drain smell in bathroom ( went after used shower). Bit noisy but knew this anyway so our choice to stay and will stay again. ( quiet after 11pm).
Centrally located for our needs
Dropped wine on the mattress and was told they didn’t have another one so they flipped it over and it was extremely dirty also with stains, was given 2 sheets to put over it, no mattress protectors
Location was fantastic for where we wanted to be. Room was exactly what we required and the staff on reception I cant speak highly enough... we had a small issue with our room and he dealt with immediately. Right next to a Waitrose, lots of restaurants and pubs. Would stay again if in the area.
Our room did seem to be on the colder side during the night but you cant control the heating, so maybe another blanket could be provided. Parking - wasn't really an issue for us as we know the area but we did have to park about 5 mins away and walk with our things. The hotel does have limited parking but by 3pm it was completely full and most local streets are permit. Dont let it put you off as hotel is in a great location so you can find local parking if need be.
very clean and comfortable!!
it’s quite loud as it’s close to clubs and bars but great if you’re not looking for somewhere quiet!
Location was great, food in the restaurant was exceptional and very reasonably priced.
Noise from nearby streets with youths shouting and carrying on was a pain and parking wasn't great.
The location was ideal for going to the city in the evening for a concert. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast in the morning filled us up for the day.
The parking was a bit tight and we managed to get the last spot when we arrived , however the friendly staff at reception allowed us to leave the car there for a short time after we checked out while we had a walk around the local area.
Passable
I was aware we had to stay in another hotel if booked a bigger room but it was shocking. No staff on the door we were basically abandoned over there where as the other hotel had 24 hour staff and people always walking around this one was left to rot people were running around the place the room I booked looked nothing like the one I got it was absolutely disgraceful
Bad
The room size was disappointing and far from the description provided on Booking. The level of cleanliness was below average — I was lucky to be traveling alone, because otherwise I would have left the hotel. The only positive aspect is the location, which is very convenient.
The location is really good, The website says limited parking but we found it to have enough spaces.
The rooms are cold, with air-conditioning but no instructions on how to use it, Our first room was freezing with a small mains operated heater which was pretty pointless, the shower entrance was very tight,( if your anything over 10st)the toilet is rather close to the wall. The second room was a little warmer, a little bigger but the shower and toilet had the same issue. Breakfast was pretty good served in SOHE a lovely Asian themed restaurant adjoining to the hotel, probably the saving grace of the hotel. All in all not what I was expecting in a high profile area like Jesmond
Excellent location and friendly staff
No heating in the room except a portable unit which took ages to warm up.Lighting poor.
Location was good, room a good size, comfy bed, great shower, friendly staff. The fridge in the room was quite handy too.
Had a great stay.the hotel was great for a break to Newcastle. Lovely room very spacious. The breakfast was really good.
We were across the road in the sister hotel .Room was on the top floor with no lift.I should have looked into the hotel more.
It did have limited parking. An integrated bar. Excellent staff
There was nothing that would stop me returning
Location, courtesy of staff and value for money.
Good location and there was free parking available.
The hotel looked dated quite a dirty carpet leading to the rooms and some touch ups needed here and there. On the whole it was acceptable.
