Nice location very friendly and helpful staff at reception, restaurant and bar. Would recommend it and have booked another visit

    10LeePosted on: 2-21-2026

Our stay was amazing, the staff were very welcoming and polite. Hey, we even got a welcome drink at reception!

There was two televisions in our room with one remote, if one was on... so was the other haha but no big deal!

    8ClairePosted on: 2-19-2026

Good location - easy to locate and parking across the road was reasonable considering it was in the city. Staff very polite and friendly and got drink vouchers in exchange for not requiring housekeeping for the two nights we stayed

The spa facilities were closed Monday and Tuesday when we stayed. I would have booked different days if it had clearly shown in the booking page. Would ask the hotel management to clearly display this as it was one of the reasons me and my daughter wanted to stay here whilst we visited.

We liked that the property was close to bars and restaurants. There was parking very close by which was great. The hotel and our room was lovely.

When we arrived, we waited ages to be attended to. So we stood in reception to a while before we could check in. The milk cartons in our room were out of date. I went to make a cup of tea and the milk cartons were solid and lumpy. They didn’t smell good. I wouldn’t expect this from a high end hotel. When we went down for breakfast, we waited a while to be seated, then longer to be served. The couple that seated about 10 minutes after us were served before us. There seemed to be no order on the self serve continental, no one knew where anything was it was all a bit chaotic.

Lovely stylish hotel. Comfy bed & room had everything we required for our stat. Food very, very nice & breakfast was outstanding. Hotel position great & right by the water. Also, within easy walking distance of tourist attractions & shops etc.

    Nothing to dislike

    The property was beautiful.

We paid for a suite and first night air-con stuck blowing cold air no heating working in top left of hotel so I was told by duty manager. Second day same problem so we had two electric heaters brought to room which finally warmed up around midnight. Freezing cold paying £570 not good enough I woke up second day with sore throat and cough. Second day at breakfast over an hour waiting for food people came in after and got served so we walked out of restaurant. Whole weekend has been a disaster.

Room was very spacious and cleanBed was large and comfortableLinen was immaculate Bathroom was very clean Staff were friendly

Very dark Breakfast was extremely slowBuffet area was small and therefore crowded Coffee machine did not make drinks hot enough

    8MathewPosted on: 2-15-2026

The beds are extremely comfortable and clean

The breakfast was unfortunately cold despite being cooked to order, and it was a shame to see one member of staff in the restaurant having to deal with all tables. She did a fantastic job, but was obviously under a lot of pressure and this can sometimes be felt by guests too. Her customer service was second to none, but I’d imagine she would feel a lot more under control if she had more team members with her, especially on valentines morning.

Great breakfast. Very nice bar area.

The car park is not on site but on the top floor of the multi story car park opposite and exposed to the elements.

    8NicolaPosted on: 2-4-2026

There was a system error and my booking wasn’t in the hotel system. My room category was sold out however they accommodated me in another room for 1 night. For the subsequent 2 nights they upgraded me to a suite as an apology which was fabulous and gave complimentary breakfast. Great service!

Friendliness of staffBreakfast was lovely as usual.Large room with a river viewRoom had a bath as well as showerParking reasonable and close byBar has a nice ambienceMoney off coffee shop whilst waiting for room.Whats not to like

    9StevePosted on: 2-2-2026

Modern, extremely well managed and clean

Location was good, but slightly further away from the location that we were planning. Although, the cold weather was probably more a factor

    7SimonPosted on: 2-2-2026

Staff at breakfast were very chaotic. People having wait to be seated when not busy, constantly asking for room number that had already been provided, food orders were wrong
