Originally a 19th-century warehouse, this luxury 4-star city center hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from Manchester's Opera House, on the banks of the River Irwell. The Stylish rooms at the Marriott Victoria and Albert Hotel each have a flat-screen TV and adults have access to an off-site indoor swimming pool and spa. Luxurious air-conditioned guest rooms have 24-hour room service and free WiFi. Well-equipped, the rooms each include satellite channels and a private bathroom. The V&A is the home to Chop & Plant our casual drinking and dining destination, offering a blend of Chop House classics and plant-based dishes with a focus on local produce and sustainability. The room was a good size for Europe and they accommodated a very early check-in after an early red-eye arrival. It it is a good area if you have work in Media City, otherwise it is quite quiet in the evenings/weekends.

The shower was raised and there was only 2 inches of clearance between my head and the ceiling (and I am not tall). It would be impossible for anyone about 5'7 to shower in this bathroom.
I need an invoice and expect to receive it yet after January stay, because it was a business trip
Super thin walls. Can hear everything in next room. Drunk people at 2am returning from bars. Construction right across from room was very annoying 3 of us in room but only 2 towels were left. Toilet was not clean when we arrived.

Location was great.

The room was very nice and the personnel were very helpful and friendly. Nice view of the river from the room but it wasn't an exceptionally pretty river.

The location seemed strange. It was in the middle of a construction zone and was kind of difficult to get into and so we didn't feel much like walking around and exploring.
