Pros +
- A great hotel, with good facilities for uncertain weather. It looks ‘grand’ but was light, bright and welcoming. The staff were lovely. The location was excellent with a short step to the beach and town and gorgeous views of the coast and cliffs from the lounge restaurant. The continental breakfast was a treat and the kitchen could accommodate my porridge request. We ate in twice and thoroughly enjoyed the range and quality of the evening meals. High tea was also a birthday treat when family came to visit. The room was comfy and well-appointed ( if quite tight round the large bed). The only quibble was that my husband found the pillows too soft and no alternative could be offered. Sounds a small thing, but not if it affects your sleep and gives you a sore neck. Thoroughly recommended but maybe just bring your own pillow!,

Cons -
- The bedroom felt like it was just painted before we got there. His stank patches are different paint all over the walls rubbish behind the bed dirty towel.
- We was on a babymoon and the hotel offered to leave fudge to make out stay special this didn't happen. The hotel (including the room) was way too hot. Being 6 months pregnant didn't help but even the heat woke up my husband. We had to keep the door of the balcony open. During breakfast I felt ill due to how warm it was. We was told breakfast was included (but it was not mentioned this excludes a cooked breakfast.)The mini fridge is not free (we expect to pay for alcohol) but for over £600 for two nights I would of thought a bag of crisps would be included? The price list was well hidden. The hotel rang us before our stay and told us about the Sunday lunch they offered. We booked a table at 6:30 but was told by the restaurant that they stop serving roasts at three. It wasn't the end of the world but I think it added to the disappointment.
- Unfortunately we had a room in the courtyard next to the entrance . Cars driving in and out early . A workman was jet washing right outside all morning and workmen noisy due to the works . A room inside the main building would have been better due to the noise going on outside .

Friendly staff. Nice location.

Everything. We are regular residents at the Harbour Hotel. The staff are all warm and welcoming and very efficient. The food was all delicious and our room was pristinely clean, beautifully presented, with luxury bedding, towels, slippers and wash products too. Love the complimentary gin.
The complimentary gin is a wonderful touch, but you then have to pay the pricey sum of £3.50, per small bottle of tonic water, from the mini bar. It slightly admonishes the original complimentary touch. We now take our own in.
The room was lovely and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Easy to park. A lovely short walk to the centre of town. The staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. Spa facilities were clean and easy to access. Food was delicious and nice views from the upper deck restaurant. Overall a lovely experience. Would certainly recommend.
The steam room seemed to not be working during our visit but no sign or advised. The bathroom showed some signs of black mould in the sealant around the shower and limescale around the sink taps. But didn't affect my stay at all.
Sea views, warm and welcoming. Excellent staff.
Dining room is a large space and needs to be broken up into smaller areas with dividers of some sort when the occupancy is lower.
Excellent food, professional staff and fantastic facilities.
Nothing to not like.
Modern , location and facilities
Smallish rooms
Friendly clean cheerful
No porridge at breakfast !
Staff are lovely would highly recommend
Pool was nice but to small as everyone could come in and use it
Lovely location and views
The room was possibly the smallest I’ve ever encountered and I have stayed in Paris many times, where hotel rooms are notoriously small
Friendly staff clean and very comfortable rooms food lovely excellent location
Nice comfortable bed. Nice little spa. Great staff. Lovely fish pie for dinner and and an even better continental breakfast. We spent a little more for the sea view but we felt it was worth it.
The building and grounds are not perfect as it's an old building but it didn't spoil our stay.
Clean, modern, good location.
Overflowing skip bins at the front of the hotel.
The location was superb - the views from the room balcony and restaurant were magnificent All the staff were very helpful & friendly The restaurant and food were superb- both breakfast and dinner worth every penny.
The room was a little small despite booking a premium room with a sea view. The bathroom was also small Shower head needed replacing as the jets went everywhere and not just straight down.It was also very hot even with all the heating turned off. It would have been nice to have a wider selection of wine by the glass
The staff were all lovely; friendly, helpful, nothing too much trouble. The restaurant and bar area was very comfortable, welcoming, bright and had a great view. Breakfast and our evening meals were excellent- very tasty, a great choice and reasonably priced. The location, right on the seafront, was perfect.
Nothing really. We could have done with a reading lamp on both sides of the double bed.
Staff were excellent.Evening meals were lovely.Great atmosphere overallWe were lucky to get room 37 so fantastic space.Room 26 was a lot smaller
Breakfast - we were often late down and found that some of the breakfast needed replenishing.Spa - when you managed to get a bed they were often drenched so needed extra towels - maybe change them more regularlyBill - maybe when it is itemised if its a JD and coke it is one cost rather than sift dring added separatelyRoom - ironing board more regularly available
Great continental breakfast with beautiful view.
The interior decorationJuxtaposition of fabric stylesLow backed seating Too many chemicals in the giacussiSimple neutral old style high backed sofas and arm chairs would be more in keeping with this property
Stayed a number of times before and wanted to experience what it was like during the festive period and it did not disappoint. The breakfast does not change but there was a festive afternoon tea and festive food menu to choose from in the evening, which was really good. They were relating the outside decking, so that part was unavailable but everything else was, so a great betwixtmas break.
Noisy neighbour, playing awful music loudly, then talking to his partner over the music, showing no respect for other residents, the twat! This was, however, dealt with very quickly by the night guy.
