Pros +
- Wonderful place to have a pint and easy walk to the room.
- The Red Lion is a pub with four rooms in a separate building a short walk from the back door of the pub. Our room was in excellent condition and very clean. It appears that it may recently have been completely remodeled/renovated as the carpet appeared to be brand new; and everything else was in tiptop shape. The Red Lion is very convenient to Cambridge and located in a little shopping/market area surrounded by residential housing. We arrived too late for a meal but enjoyed drinks in the pub - there is also a nice green with picnic tables out back where many were enjoying drinks. Inside, you could tell this is a neighborhood pub from the friendly conversations and banter and also because for the number of people inside and out, there weren't nearly enough cars out back for the number of people on the premises. There is also a nice bakery across the street providing fresh pastries and other options. I would definitely stay here again if I was in this area.
- Really nice welcome from gentlemen who took us to our room very friendly and professional would stay again food good
Cons -
- Not having a good tv selection. General cable.
- Everything was great
- Some dusty corners slightly let it down. It was very sunny and we were unable to stop light streaming in each morning.

Everything was great
Very welcoming and convenient. We have stayed here several times and been delighted. Room tidied and replenished daily.

We love this place, second time we'd stayed and it just gets better. Will be a regular visit from now on. Well priced, comfortable and well priced rooms. The staff are so accommodating and the food is amazing. All round perfect for a weekend away. Couldn't rate highly enough.
Couldn't fault a thing.
Stayed previously very convenient location, great pub, rooms superb, like the freedom of coming & going, especially as I am often out & away early for work
Only minor irritation was that in my room I could not access the wi-fi on my laptop or tablet. I was going to do a little paperwork, but perhaps it was telling me that it had been a long day & needed to take a break. If I had been desperate I could have probably got a better connection in the pub.
No Breakfast available, this isn't made very clear
The first room we were given hadn't been made up. Second room the blinds didn't work nor the electric Velux window. The toilet kept refilling unless you jiggled the flush. So the room could do with some maintenance.
Staff was helpful and accommodating. The food at the pub was very good, the amenities in the room was nice, kettle and milk with coffee and tea options.
The shower area wasnt cleaned properly, the walls were a little dirty. The batheoom itself needs renovation as a number of things are broken. It has been unusually cold in the UK during my stay, however it's clear that the main room hasn't got adequate heating as despite the fact the heating was an at all times I still felt cold. The door to the room was very hard to open and therefore make a lot of noise when you open/close it. It's only a poeblem because you potentially wake all the other guest up.The Wi-Fi did not work at all in the rooms, which was a shame.
Helpful friendly staff . Position is excellent for shops and village access and also access to Cambridge ..bus stop right outside .
The door was difficult to open and shut..needed a good shove as stuck
Great staff, great location, lovely room...
The pub and the annexe accommodation. The village on the edge of the city.
Not a lot. The accommodation block is well conceived but the plumbing was a bit noisy.Overall the operation was good but a bit more attention to detail would lift it to excellent.
Great locationBig spacious room & bathroomGreat pub on site for food/drinks
Very minor point but there was a fair bit of dust on the sockets & radiators otherwise very clean facilities
Lovely room, friendly staff and good food available in pub. Had been a little worried that it could be noisy staying in a pub but rooms are away from pub itself
Room was great, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Well laid out, good tea and coffee making facilities and even a plug near the mirror to dry my hair! Very comfortable big bed and lovely underfloor heating in the lovely spacious bathroom.
Didn't manage to connect to the Wifi, please put some info in the room.
really friendly welcome, super location, easy for buses to Cambridge, not attached to the pub therefore really quiet and private
Really convenient for meeting North of Cambridge. Good, well equipped modern rooms. EV charger in car park
EV charger is a little expensive @70p per KWh
Very friendly reception and large, comfortable room. Separate rooms behind the main building and therefore quiet.
Nice pub. Good location.
The room had not been properly cleaned- blood stains on bedspread, filthy bathroom with stained bath mat, many cobwebs, dirty surfaces. We told the manager who arranged for bedding to be changed but who provided no feedback or apology. Nobody available in morning to discuss with. We decided not to eat in the pub.
On arrival the staff were very welcoming. We were shown straight to our rooms which were absolutely lovely, clean large and super warm!We ate dinner in the pub which again the staff were really great and made sure we knew everything that was on offer from drinks to food. The food was lovely and we really enjoyed the atmosphere of customers and staff alike. We took our little dog who was also made welcome and was also given a little treat.
nothing at all
They don''t do breakfast but the pub but the pub has a very good atmosphere and friendly with an excellent selection of beers and nice meals. The rooms are a little away from the pub in the garden,so not effected by any pub noise and there are cafe's near by for breakfast.
Nothing really
