Pros +
- Great location, great price, great breakfast, and a very helpful welcome from the porters lodge.
- Really nice grounds. Room was nice size and look wise. Pretty clean.
- Location is excellent. Breakfast very good. Reception staff / porters very helpful and accommodating.
Cons -
- The room was slightly cold I found. Also a mission and a half to find the building the room was in as the map they gave got me a bit lost.
- Check-out time is 10am. However, shortly after 9am, the cleaners started banging on the bedroom door. This happened three times, and one time I was in the shower and they opened the door (about 09:30). Very annoying and unnecessary. Would make me think again about returning.
- The bathroom was tiny and pretty grim. There was no water pressure in the shower and no window, so my neighbour stank up the whole corridor, and there was nowhere for the smell to go. Also, if you have to go to the toilet in the night, the weighted door to the room slams, so I was woken a couple times when others went to the toilet, and I'm afraid I did the same to them!

Great location and incredible bulding in the centre of Cambridge. It was fun to have the full 'student experience'. The room was pretty spacious and resonably clean. Good value for money.

Fantastic location, great to be able to walk around the grounds
Steep steps to the second floor with a heavy suitcase but I knew in advance
The location, history and architecture were highlights.
The bed was uncomfortable. The mattress was too soft. I felt like I was going to fall out of bed. I didn't like the stair access in the dorm accomodation. Too many stairs and not great for poor mobility.
All of the staff were most helpful, friendly and welcoming, the accommodation was clean, tidy, comfortable and well appointed and the food splendid. Thank you for an enjoyable break away
Everything was fine
Location was perfect and attractive. Breakfast was good (except the coffee, sorry). But the tea making facilities in the room were very welcome. The room was warm, cosy and very comfortable. Very happy with my stay.
A coffee machine or a filter coffee maker at breakfast would be nice.
Exquisite historical location, novel building, unbelievable hosts
Nice and clean.Spacious Warm as extra fire if needed.Location fabNice staffYum breakfastBeautiful place and grounds
Couldnt find my room . Ha but that's Mr.
Central location. Value for money. Interteresting architecture and history
Loved the size of the room and comfy bed, and room looking into college so was quiet which was perfect on a Saturday night.
Room decor and facilities are very basic (e.g. no TV) but I appreciated the message to manage expectations and the facilities that matter (tea-making, ensuite bathroom) were there. I share only in case anyone wasn't aware of what rooms are like.
Location, atmosphere & breakfast
Excellent location. Friendly and helpful porter. Check in and check out was a breeze. Room was cosy and quiet.
Location to town, good breakfast, comfortable room
Great location, comfort and clean rooms…
Christ’s college in the centre of Cambridge is ideally located and it is a very old place with amazing history. However we were given a room right down the back in one of the new buildings. While we didn’t mind the walk to get there, the room was a pretty standard 60’s student room. The windows faced the street and the very noisy wine bar until after midnight. Porter staff were helpful and pleasant.
Excellent location
Accomodation is in modern block, nothing like images provided and bathroom smelt mouldy. Also, early check out at 10am.
quiet rom, comfortable bed, easy check in with porter, lovely and interesting surroundings (what a mulberry tree) and all within the centre of the city
Beautiful setting, great location. Good size room with comfortable beds. Helpful staff.
There was a terrible musty smell in the bathroom, the toilet leaked and the carpet by the bathroom door was wet. We were late arriving due to traffic and had barely time to get to our event or we would have complained on arrival. We were dues to check out at 10am, someone started knocking on our door at 9am.
