YHA Cambridge

Very close to the train station. Perfect affordable accommodation for a one-night stay before an early train. Large common spaces, clean communal kitchen, and friendly 24/7 front-desk staff were also a plus.

Basic rooms and bathrooms, but as expected for a budget hostel.

A cosy place with a clean room. The kitchen is well equipped. The staff are responsive and friendly.

Basic but great value for a family of 5. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

It was close to the train station, easy check in, comfortable facilities and welcoming helpful staff

It's so tidy and quiet. Including the toilets and room.

I can't use the wifi.

Near the train station, kitchen facility, value for money, storage.

Always friendly and helpful staff. Great communal areas for eating/working and close enough to town and to other amenities with a short walk. The great price goes without saying really.

Due to wear and tear, the en-suite room did feel a little grubby. Stayed here before and the other rooms were lovely.

price and location was good

The quilt cover had a stain on it

Nice, conveniently located, quiet. You get what you paid for. It was also possible to buy breakfast in the morning - no need to book in advance. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

All went really well with stay.

Was cheap and able to book it really late for a same day check in which is really convenient for any last minute stay in the city. Located right next to the train station. Had great facilities like laundry room (washing, drying and ironing). They have a kitchen and is surprisingly clean, shows how much people respect the rule (which is great). I booked an en suite and there is nothing to complain especially for the price I paid. There is a male only dorm and a female only which I thought was great. I was in an en suite big space and everything needed for the night.

The morning staff were slightly rude but again everyone is human so must of been a one off.

Staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful & accomodation very clean and comfortable

Self closures on doors caused a loud noise in the night when thoughtless guests just let them go rather than closed them gently walking me up a few times. This was just a complaint about thoughtless guests staying not about the YHA

Bad

Fire alarm set off as a false alarm at 1.30am. I couldn't get back to sleep so had an awful stay.

The hostel’s location was near the station, so it was very convenient. They even kept my luggage in the locker room before check-in time, which made it easier for me to roam around Cambridge without the hassle of carrying luggage. The staff was very polite and helpful. It was clean.

The only thing that bothered me was the wash basin inside the room. It was just next to my bed, with other person’s toothbrush and toothpaste kept there, and a dustbin just below that. I left the room early in the morning, but I can’t even imagine that a stranger was brushing inside the room, right next to my bed.

Very good location. Nice staff, clean room.

Wall are thin, you hear the neighbours.

Very lovely receptionists. Clean new bedding, small "kitchen" downstairs.

Beds. They are "One on top of the other", but you can't sit on the lower bed. The upper bed is positioned so low you can only lie down.

Clean good-sized room, pleasant location near to train station, friendly and kind staff. Good price. Thank you.

I didn't sleep well because of background noise but I don't think I could expect anything else for the price. Having to leave my car in the Park and Ride was a nuisance but I understand not much alternative in the centre of Cambridge and central YHA location was great.

The location is perfect, right next to the train station. It is cute and nicely decorated, with a spacious common area and a kitchen. The duvet was very nice and warm. Toilets were good, with properly hot water. It is a great place to stay.

Easy access to main attractions

Not the best hospitality. I love YHA. I had superb experience at YHA Windermere. Windermere staff were like friends and family. YHA Cambridge is below average.

Location, helpful and friendly staff, perfect pizza 24/7

Everything was good.

Great staff, organisation and best location.
