    Pros +

    • Good location of the imperial war museum.
    • Clean and comfortable hotel close to the train station. Friendly staff.
    • All in all I would...

    Cons -

    • Right on the train line, bed very uncomfortable, only one chair in the room when it was a double room and it was a desk chair so not comfortable to sit on. Only 2 pillows on the bed. Food was average and you, has to pay £10 per night to park on top of your stay. For what it was it was it was not value for money and we would not stay again. Also disappointing that a hunting group could walk around with rifles and knifes on show even at breakfast.
    • The room could do with a sofa or another chair. There were no hooks to hang coats and the shower water leaked on to the bathroom floor. A mirror over the dressing table would have been helpful. The side tables were a long way from the bed and sockets were lacking. A choice of pillows would have been helpful. Parking was £10 per night extra and the breakfast was extra which made it quite expensive. The TV kept going off due to loss of internet connection and there was a lot of condensation on the windows.
    • The shower screen is on a hinge and when you open it it leaves a gap which, should you stumble or trip, could catch your finger(s) in it.Also, there is no grab handle and when you open the shower door the drips go onto the floor.

Given that the room was right next to the train line, the soundproofing of the windows was exceptionally good. I did not hear the trains. However, the air-conditioning/heating rumbled all night and kept me awake. The room had everything one might need and was perfectly clean. The staff were friendly and cheerful. I was here in February, and the wall thermostat made it easy to control the temperature in the room. The self-service breakfast was excellent. I have never seen such a variety of foods on offer, both hot and cold.

The bedding was a little narrow for the single bed. The air-conditioning/heating system was noisy enough to make it hard to ignore during the night.

We don't do breakfast we just bring easy cereal to eat in room which suits us

The pillows they are too hard it would be nice to have a choice of two one medium one hard( which ours were)

Clean. Good location for Duxford. Food was good. Nice little bar area. Comfortable room. Polite staff.

Put in adapted room. Bed smaller than space. Wet room tired and clinical so off putting.

    A proper room.

    8MartinPosted on: 2-14-2026

    Clean, modern, well equipped

There is a wide gap between the two parts of the shower screen allowing water to flood onto the bathroom floor.

    7KeriPosted on: 2-13-2026

The room was clean and comfortable with a good shower. The staff were friendly. We were travelling with our dog and they very sensibly put us in a room on the ground floor which was much easier for us. It was a great location for us.

The breakfast was very disappointing. The scrambled eggs tasted very odd as if they were made from reconsituted egg. Bacon was nice, coffee was weak. It was a shame. The staff were lovely though.

    8JenniferPosted on: 2-13-2026

    Excellent breakfast and friendly staff.

The bed was low down and only a standard double size, which meant the built in side tables for the bed were miles away, having been designed for a king size bed. It would have been nice to have a small sofa like the rooms used to have on previous stays.

    Clean and modern

Limited parking with extra daily charge.Railway works being undertaken right outside the window at 01:00 in the morning. Noisy is an understatement!

Lovely hotel, food was nice. Staff paid attention to detail and were very efficient. Best hotel in Herts & Cambs. I stay at a lot of hotels for wotk purposes, this is the best one.

Upset with £10 daily patking charge... car park not owned by hotel. Chsrge is way too high for customers.

    8GeoffPosted on: 2-10-2026

Easy access from m11, easy check in, room very clean, bar/restaurant area very clean. Unfortunately didnt eat but food looked really good.

Closeness to railway line, next time I book will request a front room.

The hotel was perfectly located for access to TWI.It was clean, wifi was good, staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast and evening meal were tasty. The price too was excellent. Parking was no problem though I think you pay £10 per day/night for that.

The staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough to accommodate us. Jason was so pleasant anf helpful on arrival and Steve with breakfast. Then all the staff on Sunday were lovely and even dropped me and my mum at the station as she couldn’t get over the bridge so they drive us round.
