The Gullivers Hotel

Nothing! One of the worst stays Ive had so much so that needed to leave a day early and please dont call it a Hotel because its a barely livable house.

Everything, poor maintenance, drains did not work, bathroom fan didnt work , toilet loose so had to be very careful to sit so it would come off the floor. Realtor bad experience, very dark, a few lights did not work, noisy, horrible shower

Is was all we needed. A night out with a bed to sleep in in safety after a fantastic night out in brighton with my son for his 18th birthday ?

My sons single room was very small..

OYO send me to another hotel claiming that this place had to be temporarly shut down due to technical issues. The new accomodation was outrageous, a tiny room with broken water taps in the bathroom. The hotel communicates via WhatsUp messages only. I was promissed to solve the situation but nothing happened. I will complain official about this company.

We were moved hotel and the one we stayed in there were hanging electrical cables from the ceiling and the light switch which was hanging off. And on opening the window it fell off the hinges.

It was unclean and dangerous to stay in.It would not have passed an electrical safety testWould never recommend or stay there again

Great staff, really comfortable. Exactly where I needed to be in the city and I was yards away from any supermarket or 5 mins from city centre.Got locked out my room and staff sorted it within minutes. Great stop over

Only thing I can fault is no batteries for the TV remote

Clean room and very comfy bed .easy self check in too.

Room was very hot even with radiator turned off.

Nice easy booking, check in, clean and comfortable. Good nights sleep. Excellent location. Very good value for money!

I just don’t understand why the hotel staff needed to call me about 5 times. “when are you arriving” on one call - “are you there yet” on another. “is your stay going ok”, “please can you leave us feedback. This kind of hotel is low fuss with the self entry system etc … people want want to be spam called about one night in a £30 room

It’s very clean & presentable, ground staff are always on hand 24:7 via phone if needed, it’s a welcoming family hotel & one I use in a regular basis.

The bed was very comfortable, including the pillows & a thick duvet at a hotel is always a treat!! Facilities were great & the complimentary chocolate bars made our day!

It was isolated to our room and not the hotel.. but the window by the bed was broken so we were unable to close it. With it being very cold & by a noisy main road.. this did bring the experience down a fair amount.Also it’s listed as a “non-smoking” hotel, the staff may need to do a little more to enforce that. Each time we entered/left the hotel it stank of cigarettes.

I didn't like anything. Nothing i enjoyed. It was hell. I hated everything It was atrocious and rancid.

Guests arguing and falling out. Like I keep on saying UPDATE YOUR APP FOR DISABLED PEOPLE!!!.. Because yet again my mum couldn't wash again because there was a bath not a shower. We waited half a hour getting in our room and phoned the hotel inside the building and eventually got someone out..Plus I didn't like the room. It was 2 rooms and with my mental health and mum's disabilities. WE NEED A ROOM TOGETHER!!!.

location and price (if you manage to get it cheap)

The first time I stayed I was given a decent room this time around despite giving a previous good review they decide to give me a tiny box room. Bed was uncomfortable, arial cable broken and walls are thin could hear the c##t next door as if he was in the room and having a coughing fit and snoring all night long.

The absolute independence was bliss, the room was spacious and clean. I had the best sleep in months Once i understood how to get in (WhatsApp message) haha

To not being more clearly indicated how to check inBut i was really exhausted

Comfy bed. Pretty quiet considering location.

Check in. It was a nightmare and several numbers (both listed and given by You) didn't work. Ended up with another guest giving us a number to call.

I don’t get a lot of the negative reviews - just pay for the double with en suite. Room 5 is lovely and spacious. Very clean. Staff were very helpful and attentive via WhatsApp and on the phone. Would book again.

The door is constantly on the latch - unsafe Room was hotter than surface of the sun with windows open - someone came to fix but if anything got hotter.
