Pros +
- All of it, good spot, close to work, fsr enough away from people
- The host was lovely and the hotel was well placed for the football which is why we were there. Having the pub downstairs and a takeaway next door was also super handy.
- The friendlies of the locals
Cons -
- This last budget
- I do feel like the room was quite overpriced for what it was. There were a few snags for instance breakfast was advertised in the room but when we went down in the morning the restaurant was shut and we were told it wouldn’t open until 12pm. The room was also quite dirty however once we realised this the next morning it was cleaned.
- Small bed, which mattress kept moving, shower blocked, no bin in bathroom

I booked a single room - it was small but ok. There was no reading light so to switch off lights meant getting out of bed. The sink in the bathroom was really tiny so not great for washing faces. The bed was not that comfortable and only one pillow was provided. There was a fridge which was a bonus. Karaoke in the pub directly under my room went on until 11.30pm but it was a Saturday and staff warned me about this as I checked in. Overall a little pricey for the what it was but adequate for one night.
Lack of reading light near bed.
Pub was nice, bedroom was pretty small, bathroom decent. Walking distance to the Amex Stadium.
Parking on match day wasn’t a great experience. Hardly any spaces , had to park on quite a steep hill.
Location to Brighton Albion.
The whole accomodation, smelt bad on the stairs, room was dingy, bed was tiny for two people, noisy downstairs.
location was spot on the staff were brilliant decent pint and the kareoke was lush
Room was spot on however there were a lot of big flys in the room
Travelled for work so I arrived late and left early. Lovely landlady helped me get sorted with my room. Comfy bed, hit powerful shower. Would stay again if working in the area
All good
Great location staff very accommodating and nice :)
Couldn’t figure out the heating but that was us being silly
Good location if attending something locally
Lobby/entrance area was a bit dirty and shabby for the price. Breakfast wasn't included
Location was great.Staff was great.Seems like a family business and i like to supportA near buy restaurant and a supermarket.
If you are a person like me who sleeps early, they do have a pup which they stop playing music at 9:00 pm.That is just me.
Very friendly staff, lovely pub, great food, friendly locals. Clean room that has clearly recently been redecorated and refitted.
No parking, quite a rough area so ask to put motorcycles in the courtyard. Room facilties were good but a few things weren't thought out very well auch as a ceiling fan that can't be turned off and got very hot. TV stand had been bodged and was a liability and the absorption fridge made the room very hot even though the weather was cool. Can get noisy on a Friday and Saturday night, but it is a pub and this didn't bother me!
Great breakfast
Decor of hallway was tired, bed and bedroom very small.
Good location, friendly staff
Very noisy, very small, could do with a good clean
Convenient walk to the stadium Linen clean
Dirty stained headboard, carpets on stairs stained, mattress uncomfortable
As a solo traveller, whilst the room was small as others have mentioned, it was absolutely great for me! Drawers for my clothes, everything was super clean, mini fridge in the room which was fab, coffee in the room - had everything I needed! Was super close to Uni which was a pleasant walk and lovely to come back to the pub and have a chilled drink before going back to the room. Being so close to a local shop was great as well! Thank you, will definitely book again. Oh and the shower - amazing! Great pressure and hot!! Thank you!
Great value for money, with convenient location, only a 20 minute bus ride into the centre, which is nice cause you’re out of the way of the bustling night life which allows for a quiet’s night sleep. It’s right next to a corner shop, and a small takeaway (we didn’t try the food there but it looked alright). The room had a mini fridge which was great and allowed us to store drinks and keep them cold. The room was decent, it was small but not uncomfortably so, it was only a place for us to sleep, it had a nice shower with great water pressure, and it had a TV and storage in the room. The hotel staff were very friendly. I would recommend staying here especially with the pricing because Brighton is not a cheap place to stay. There is also a smoking terrace with four chairs which is really nice and convenient as it means you don’t have to leave the hotel if you want a cigarette
There were only a couple of small issues but honestly nothing super important. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, quite small bed for a double and the mattress springs do did in a bit. There was also some electrical issues, a light in the room that non stop flickered, we noticed the same issue with the hallway lights though. The fairy lights on the smoking terrace were also broken, the end that would have the switch for them on was broken off, so there’s no light out there when it’s dark. Although the room was very clean, it definitely could have done with some dusting as some of the surfaces were covered in it, and the bathroom and corners of the room had cobwebs. This isn’t necessarily a complaint, as it’s completely understandable but whilst the pub is usually quiet, just be careful if you’re going to stay a Saturday night as the pub does get a bit rowdy and you can hear it through the walls, it did sound like they were having fun at the kareoke though!
Not a bad location, decent takeaway nearby
The bedding sheets were dirty, the room didn’t feel clean
Close to to the Amex stadium for football. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean.Good connection with USB points for our devices-better than a lot of hotels we visit.
Unfortunately the room was far from ideal for my wife as she has mobility issues and having initially sent a message to booking.com about an issue with stairs we received no response-don't know whether that's the fault of the hotel or booking.com.When we arrived we were faced with 20 steps to ascend which presented my wife with difficulties. The lady at the hotel was very apologetic but what could we then do in Brighton on a Saturday afternoon. It needs to be made clear that the hotel is not suitable for disabled people.Parking is also a problem although the lady kindly allocated us a space but on our return in the evening someone else had taken that.
Supportive staff , quiet location , easy to commute to the city centre.
