- Was nice near the beach
- Lovely family run hotel. Location was fantastic. Lovely rooms in listed building …
- The reception areas were lovely . Rooms very dated and quite small . Door handles wobbly etc , needs a bit of TLC.
Cons -
- Very dated not very clean
- Couple of little things such as shower door not closing and a leak but this didn’t detract from the stay and was well worth the money. Reported those items to be fixed.
- The stairs to get up to the top floor were extremely narrow and lift very dated , not big enough to get a pram in so makes difficult for people in family rooms with push chairs.

Wonderful location, comfortable spacious room. Staff are lovely.
The beds and massive windows
Grumpy male receptionist
The hotel is in a very good position and we could see the sea from our room which was lovely. The staff were all friendly
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty!!! The bed was comfortable and I slept well.Pretty clean.
As it is an old building you can hear the guests walking around in the room above. There was some dust on the light fitting and they do need a bath mat to stop you slipping on the floor.
Location ,friendly staff,nice breakfast
Very convenient position. Next to promenade and close to Churchill shopping centre. Very good value for money. At this time of year quiet. Decent breakfast served by friendly staff.
Furniture and fittings needed replacing but we're adequate for short stays.
Good if you don't like...
Full of drunk idiots banging about until 5am, paper thin walls, got no sleep.
Lovely breakfast very friendly staff
Thought the bedroom was a bit tired
Nice staff, good service! Especially Nuza)
Too many doors to open on the stairs and hallway ( not useful). Buthroom doors need hooks!!!
The hotel was on the seafront in central Brighton which was perfectly located for a short walk along the seafront to the pier and east Brighton, as well as a short walk into Hove also. The staff were super friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. They always said hello and made us feel like VIPs. "Room 15"! A fantastic breakfast with cereal, yoghurt, toast, sausage, bacon, scrambled egg, beans, fruit and COFFEE! We were allowed to store our bags at the hotel after check out before catching our train.
I honestly can't think of anything of any merit to write in this section.
Went to Brighton with girlfriends for shopping trip & sightseeing. Hotel Brilliant value for money, staff very hospitable, room’s clean & comfortable. Breakfast super, wide choice of cooked food & selection of fruits & yogurt, hot chocolate coffee etc. will definitely stay there again.
Location Staff comfortable beds.
Nice big room although windows need seeing to the wind rattled through but was clean, friendly staff great location
Wasn’t anything to complain about
Very central
No balcony or sun getting through but good for a family and a solo traveler
Excellent clean white sheets and fluffy white towels. Toiletries and tea and coffee. beautiful view from the window towards the beach and the pier. Very friendly staff. Hot water and heating all worked well. Bacon at breakfast was very good quality.
The pillows were like slabs of thin hard cement. Corner bath with hand shower had a plastic surround that was so cracked and old anything would have been better. Very dated decor with knobs falling off the side tables. Old bits of cardboard in window to stop it rustling? Very fresh paint with masking tape still around the window so they are decorating.
We enjoyed our stay at The Beach Hotel very much. The receptionists and the ladies at breakfast were very helpful and friendly to us. We loved the location of the property. The dinner at the nearby restaurant was simply amazing, the food so delicious!
It was a little cold in the room for our liking, but this was solved by providing an electric heater.
The staff were lovely and friendly, the room was a really good size, and the hotel had what I needed. The complimentary toiletries were lovely, too. The food at breakfast was delicious. The room I was in was close enough to reception that the wifi was reasonable accessible, and the window had a good view of the i360 and the beach.
The bathoom was a little tight and the bath creaked like it was going to collapse through the floor. The shower also didn't seem to work well, and the water took way too long to heat up (minutes as opposed to seconds). During my week long stay, the housekeeping only entered the room once, to empty the rubbish during the three days that I didn't use the Do Not Disturb sign.
The staff are very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble, (given a jug with milk for the room). Towels are a nice size for drying after a shower.
Sheets didn't fit the bed. Needed more milk pods in the room. Had to use a cup to fill the kettle.
