Conference Aston Hotel - Birmingham City

The personnel were so nice and helpful. As we had been accommodating our daughter to Aston University, it was a great advantage to be very near to the student accommodations.

It would be nice to be near one of train station as it is a 15-20 min to walk, but in our case, we chose to be near the university in the first place. Thus, not a down site but people should consider this while choosing the hotel.

Friendly staff, great rooms for the money. Loads of communal space and great breakfast.

Parking ok but a bit confusing at first

Parking is ridiculous they say it’s onsite, it’s a walk and they charge the day from midnight to midnight so you pay for 2 days parking for an overnight stay

The glass door into the toilet. Although I was alone I still found this a little strange.

My single room was pretty basic - felt rather like a student room, fold down table as a desk, fold up chair etc. Overpriced.

Bath tap had a missing piece making it difficult to attach the temp. Room door also didn’t close properly, so I had to ensure it was fully closed each time with an extra push / pull (room 117)

The room was clean I had to clean the bath before I could use it as it was full of someone else’s hair. The room was dusty and the bed was awful, two single beds put together that keep separating and had to sleep on it like a single bed or be in a dip!

Location was handy for a conference at Millenium Point

Rooms were tiny and had the feel of a prison cell. Vinyl floors, no carpet. Mattress was cheap and uncomfortable. The room wasn't a 'hotel' room, it was more like budget student accomodation.

Very quiet, clean room and the perfect temperature. Slept really well

Please deal with housekeeping i had the DND on the door and housekeeping let themselves in while i was in the room this isnt right and it isnt the first time they done this nice hotel but housekeeping are a put off.

No smart TV bed was smaller then was advertised

The room was spacious,bed comfortable, you have plenty sockets to use, hair dryer

Was cold in the room , when yoy come from cold you need something warm. Even the bathroom floor was so cold.. would be useful some slippers.

Cleanliness

Very compact, tiny space, very tiny washing area, and the room. It was soundproof and had a peacefully sleef as i herd many sounds while sleeping
