The grounds were well kept. The overall service was excellent. I must note that our breakfast experience was so great with so friendly staff. I love your hotel.

Cleanliness of the facility and the overall atmosphere was exceptional.

Service in restaurant was extremely slow, was not that busy and the staff were busy chatting amongst themselves.

Room - The twin room allocated to us was too small. We had planned to spend a lot of time in the room, we needed more space. An alternative room was offered at a small cost to upgrade. The room allocated for the upgrade was lovely and met all our expectations. The cost of the upgrade was also good value.

The only downside was that the coffee at breakfast on the first morning was extremely weak. However, this was sorted immediately, and fresh coffee was brought to us.

I liked the comfortable lounge and bar area. I liked the bathroom in our room.

The pillows were sadly uncomfortable and it was too late to do anything about it by the time I was in bed. TIP: check your pillow on check in and ask reception straight away if it is uncomfortable.

Breakfast was very plentiful with lots of choice...but bacon and sausage were rather basic and I would have preferredfried mushrooms. Eggs were a little underdone but scrambled eggs were overdone and rubbery. These were minor complaints.

Room was good and clean, bath was lovely with very hot water and a great shower. It was nice to get a free upgrade to a room with a view on our arrival. Breakfast was amazing and a great selection. The pool and facilities were very good and clean. Good selection of gym equipment. All staff are friendly and helpful. Bar food was also very nice.

our second night stay was not as good as the first as some of the guests above were extremely noisy until the early hours, including use of what sounded like a hot tub on and off along with music and singing. This was sorted after reporting to reception. The price of drinks in the bar seems quite high, we feel the bar also could do with some sort of music in there even if very low background music. The chairs in the room were extremely uncomfortable. More info about the pool use and times would be useful in the room.

Breakfast was very accommodating lots of choice and really nice. Also had food in bar rather than booking restaurant as same menu choice. Friendly staff and quick service. Spa lived up to expectations would stay again.

Nothing to dislike. If being picky little bit of dust in bedroom which I wasn’t really bothered about.

There was some areas in the hotel that felt cold and draughty. Spa changing rooms could do with a freshen up.

Friendly and polite staff and clean. Food was tasty

No loo brush and needed to flush the loo 2-3 times

Lovely property! Lobby was especially nice.

Cap on shower drain and hair caught in the drain strainer- so water seeped out of shower and flooded bathroom floor.Carpets in hallway was shabby.My room carpet needed to be cleaned- it looked like someone had vomited on it.

The location was perfect for the business event I was attending. Staff were freiendly and the setting is lovely.

The overall hotel is dated and in need of a refurb. The rooms are horrible. Partly due to the very dated decor, old bedding/facilities but also the cleanliness is very lacking. Shame because it could be lovely with some work. done. I would not stay again and don't recommend.

Cold and uncomfortable room.

The radiator in the room needed bleeding and made a gurgling noise all night so we had to turn it off plus the bedding was very thin and more for summer than winter which meant we were very cold all night

Location and spa facilities

Noisy and no lift. Had to carry my heavy bags using the stairs. Very noisy as well and floor creaking above me

Location was peaceful food was great

The bed was hard and the pillows flat didn’t sleep much very uncomfortable

The setting was beautiful. The venue itself was lovely, and had just been set up with Christmas decorations. Lovely staff, comfortable rooms and could not fault it.

The breakfast was very disappointing sadly, the English breakfast was completely cold as stated by several guests. The food options were limited. We de used to leave breakfast.

Put me on 3rd floor with no lift Room old fashioned and lacked any real comfortDifficult to find in the dark and sat nav got lost as signal rubbish in the area

Attention to detail. Food ,excellent evening buffet. Poached eggs as standard buffet choice great at breakfast
